58% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

Hmmm, I was born in NYC and I currently live in NE... I guess 17 years living south of the Mason Dixon line had an effect on me.

It's funny.  I was born in the Pacific Northwest,  Lived for many years in Michigan,  and now I'm back in Oregon.   Most of my answers said that they were common in the Great Lakes region.

Just a Southern Belle at Heart, Y'all.

48% yankee

But I noticed this test dosnt properly recalculate scores even when the exact same answers are given LoL...

NicholeW.

48% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

Kinda odd for someone who was raised in the South and then spent 18 more years there as an adult. But, always felt more comfortable around where I am now. Was always told when I did live in the South as an adult -- "Nichole, you sound and act like such a Yankee!"

Never was very good at the Southern Belle routine either. I was never so drunk when I went to someone's bed that I could claim virginity the following morning!! >:D

Only 80%?  Dang girl, you are slippin'.  I mean I still stand up and clap when Scarlett shoots the Yankee soldier.

My maternal grand parents and 3 generations prior were from the South.  My mom was born in California but she was exposed to a lot of Southern dialect and passed some of it on to me it appears.   :)

What surprised me is that I am a Northern girl!  It's amazing what happens when you spend 5 months in Oklahoma...

Lynn, there was a note saying that if you make an error, you have to start over.

Neither.  I'm a Westerner.  If I had to choose between California and The Union, then I wish to be a California girl.

  •

Laurry

83% (Dixie).  Did you have any Confederate ancestors?

Sure had a lot of Great Lakes region answers, but isn't this score what you would expect from one raised in Oklahoma and living in Texas for 25 years?

......L
Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Born and raised in California where my parents were also born and raised...  And one set of grandparents as well.  But my dad's parents are from Texas and Oklahoma, so I guess that's where I got it. :P

Wish they'd done one for West too!
