In my case that would be very unlikely since I wouldn't tell a potential partner anything about my TS history.  Personally I want my boyfriend to like me and want me for who I am, a woman and not because I was born with a .....ummm..*coughs*...birth defect.

Well, I could NEVER be with anyone who gets his sexual kicks on the idea that I was once male-bodied.  Period.   ;D  :P

No, I haven't.  Actually someone IRL said something to me a long time ago.  "Well, your ex was with you during your entire transition, wasn't he?"
Indeed, he was, but that didn't make him a TS "admirer" (whatever that is)  He was there because he loved me and supported me but our sexual lives were non-existent due to my inability to cope with "parts" which weren't mine.  And thankfully he respected my wishes.  Okay, too much personal information!  :P

I think that I would, but I would be interested in why he would be interested,  Does that make sense?

I am with Kate.  I wouldn't because of my history or my condition, but if he knew and that it didn't matter to him then I might.

Like Elwood said dating a FtM would be ideal, because of the similar histories.

well, i'd sure date elwood!  er, if i werent old enough to be his great great grandmother  :-\

Elwood is young enough to be my grandson, Jay on the other hand is closer to my age.  Too bad he's on the other side of the country. ;D

Hey!! I didn't say that. And didn't make you give that personal info either, why the tongue out at me!!     :icon_hug:
Don't people just kill ya? Like you've been with him for years and they say something like that?!!

I'm sure it must have been enough to bring out the Lector in you. Wouldn't blame you at all for that. It was, well, rude!

Tell ya what, Janet, just drive that ol' motorcycle over here to the east coast, and we'll hitch it up behind the RV and drive off to see the country.  Okay??  ;)

Well! I think my chances of hooking up with a transgirl might be fairly high! LOL!

I don't think I've ever had an FtM crush on me. Then again, I've only met 2 FtMs, one androgyne, and I think... 3 MtFs total (in person).

Jay Honey,

Unfortunately I had to sell the bike, but I'll tell what you bring the RV to West Coast ;) and I'll show you real mountains  and a real ocean.  And a real volcano.

Love,
Janet  ;D

Bummer!  My plans do include a trip to the Northwest as I've never been.  I have a couple of years more of work before I can hit the road (ideally).  Transitioning is hitting me in the pocketbook so I've got to work a bit longer before early retirement, LOL.  Too much country to see, so little time.  sigh..

Bummer.

When you get here look me up, Hon.  Meanwhile how do you feel about a long distance relationship.  ;D >:D

I wish I could retire early, but the way things stand unless I marry a good man I will be working until I'm 70.  And by then there will be no SSI.

Love,
Janet

Well when I retire early it's not because I have a ton of money.  It's just that I need to be on the move for a while.

I have an online job that will pay the bills but I need to pay off a few things first and sock money into my 401K.  I will keep working online and likely be a workamper (ie working at a campground to pay lot rent and electric) while working online full-time, which should let me see the country and still earn money and save.

The way I see it life is too short.  Yes I know I'll need money for retirement but I want to live, for tomorrow I may be hit by a bus! LOL

I figure I'd rather spend my money on experiences rather than stuff, so I've been downsizing my life since my divorce.  In a few years I want no ties.

Okay, I'm weird.  But I blame it on my father and the road trips we took when I was a kid.  I was hooked!!  I spent the year after high school living abroad.  After I hit the US and Canada in my RV I want to go overseas, like that kid in www.wherethehellismatt.com .

In the past I have done but would never do it again. In my exerience "admirers" may be an easy lay but they are interested in something that is behind me now and not who I am now.

I always wanted to tour the country by RV.  I wanted to write a tour guidebook on Amusement Parks, well maybe I'll get a truck and pull my trailer someday.

Can you feel the love tonight?

Let's keep the flirting down to a dull roar, people. Just teasing, I don't mind. Love is definitely in the air these days.  ;D

You do roller coasters??  I'm so there!!

Jay

OH YEAH! Baby.

I love coasters.  Jansen Beach here in Portland had the world's best wooden coaster, but they had to tear it down.

Some of the new ones I haven't tried, but I would love to.  ;D ;)

Hmm, well, to my surprise, when I first transitioned, I discovered that there were women who made it quite clear they were interested and it was also clear it was BECAUSE I was trans, and that turned me right off. I don't have the slightest desire to be anyone's "experience. "

But that was then and this is now, and people don't know my story. So now, I don't seem to have any problem attracting other Lesbians. The thing is, when things get to the point of real intimacy, I tell them my story. More than once, a woman who was all over me before she knew, cools off in a hurry once she knows. They always say the right things, but then I see them less and less. It hurts.

My last in person gf hadn't known, but was excited by the idea. That was fine with me because we already had a connection. I will confess, though, that her curiosity began to wear on me. It seemed that was all she wanted to talk about, once she knew.

But is the question, would I date an admirer who was TS themselves? An MtF, yes I would, but she would have to seem feminine in her soul to me. And not look like Winston Churchill. I did my time of being snickered at by strangers. I have no wish to go back to that, even vicariously. An FtM, I don't think I could. If i came to care for them, I think I would mourn every lost iota of womanness, so clearly it would never work.

I wouldnt mind being with a ts admirer.
Especially not if they were ts (especially FtM) themselves or butch lesbians. :o
Im kind of a ts admirer myself (just like Ive said in the ->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<- thread) and Im really attracted to masculine women. That being said, I want to add that I *never* see FtMs as masculine women, Im attracted to them because our bodies are the same.

Drik, I've got to debate you on this point.  I would have agreed with you in the not-so-distant past, but my body is very unlike that of a woman.  Testosterone does amazing things when added to a bio female body.  Chest surgery has obviously made a drastic difference as well.  The difference between my body and that of my girlfriend was damn near shocking the first time I realized how NOT the same we actually are.
