hey, for you guys who are on T, have you experienced any growth as far as physical height? I'm 5' 2" >< so any growth up would be to my benefit. I wish I was 5' 8" but I have a feeling that growing six inches is downright impossible no matter what

I'm 5' 9". If we could trade height, that would rock because I don't like being super tall.

lol I'm not sure. I'm 5'6 but I'm not going to hold my breath. Maybe it depends on when you get T? If you're still in your growing stage it might be possible, but if not I wouldn't count on it.

I'm not getting my hopes up about it, but I reallyyyy hope so. I'm 5'2.5" right now.

Short answer- No.

Long answer- Yes, if you start early enough.  By early enough, I mean no more than a few years after you start your period.  Why? Because female growth plates close shortly thereafter.

So unless you're 13 and starting testosterone, no.

Its around 18 when the plates fuse right?  At least that's what I've heard, not sure how accurate the information is, but that seems like the general age people stop growing in height.

I'm 5' 8" now and praying if I get on T like, the day after I turn 18 maybe I might grow ever so slightly more, but I doubt it.  I'm pretty sure I'm done with my growth cycle with or without hormones and I'm 17.

I was always under the impression that the growth plates close after puberty, between 16-18.

I remember my doctor saying something about women reaching their full height 3-4 years after the onset of their periods, which for me was BS.  I've grown six inches since then.

Either way, if you've completed puberty, it's highly unlikely that you'll grow.

Dont think its possible if ur past 16.  2yrs on T & I'm the same height 5'6'' but wish I was at least 5'8''.  I'm 2 old to get taller & thats cool by me!

Not everyone's plates close at the same time. My mom stopped growing when she was 22. My brother is 21 and still growing. I believe that even though I'm 18, I have one more growth spurt before I'm done. Looking at my family's history tells me that the textbook answers aren't 100%.

I'm just under 5'3". My mom is 5'3" or 5'4". My dad is 5"11'. My brother is something like 5"5" or 5'6", at least the last time I saw him (2 months ago). I have a potential to be as tall as the taller women in my family. Most women in my family are around 5'4", but some of them have been as tall as 5'5" or 5'6". I'd prefer to be just a little taller than short Mexican and Asian women. That's all I ask.

Aerobic exercises can increase the body's growth hormone output. I hear if one is consistent it COULD have an effect. It would have done me better to start in middle school, though. :/

Kinda funny, I am just over 5'8 and wish I was a tad taller.  I suppose I am a good height as I blend in well to any crowd and find there are plenty of people of both genders shorter then me.  I am avg. to all the guys around me except a few who are about the 6' range, which is closer to where I would like to be.  I guess the height thing for me is taller people rarely look fat and despite my loosing body fat and gaining muscle I am honestly to vain to be happy and pray for T soon.  Too bad height is not a benifit.

I thought I had stopped growing at fifteen but I recently noticed that I've gotten taller than before. That's mostly a result of not slouching so much any more, though, I think.

I'm currently 167 cm, 5'5" in feet if the converter I used is correct.

I have noticed from my own observation that the more I work out and the more masculine I feel the more I stand up straight.  I had to force myself at first though because I would slouch slightly to hide well... you know.. those body parts I want to loose ASAP.  But now I am finding I am more correct in my posture and that has aided me in height as well.  A few years ago I was recorded at 5'6 or 5'7 but now when I get my height done its 5'8 or 5'9.  I think this is because of my forcing myself to correct my posture and my bones and muscles responding.  On a side note, its made my back feel much better especially during stretches.

I'm 5 ft 3 or 4.  Sucks being short in general... especially 'cause it makes me seem younger.

Unless you start T when you're still growing you're out of luck.

I kept growing till I was 26. But then I didn't start really until 17. Wish I'd started T early :/

So...If you have good posture, good sleep(8 hours, since your pitubary[however you spell it]gland is activated while you sleep),have the right diet for your bones and strech maybe all the time and intensely, and your plates havent closed(since everyones different when it comes to that), and youre on T, then maybe... Cause that would be awesome.

That's a lot of factors for a 'maybe.'

And as for the pituitary- I have a horrible time sleeping.  Have since I was a kid.  I average 2-3 hours a night, not counting the 1-2 nights per week I don't sleep at all, and I'm 5'10".  Maybe my pituitary adapted to my craziness. :)

I'm 5'7"-8" ... I seem to be about average male height in NZ, thank god. lol.

It seems people everywhere seem to be getting taller and taller. My 14 yr old brother and sister are both my height already! He's supposed to reach 6ft+ and she's supposed to get around there too.

I was talking more about after puberty. Genetics always play in part but I m talkin about ways to still grow after you re done with growing basically, even beyond your plates. Though Im not really sure but doing tests always work, for some people. But yeah, if youre naturally tall, and you did none of the above, you have great genes.
