Think McCain finally needs a new running mate?  :D Palin's got quite a few skeletons in her closet.

He'll ask her to resign.
She'll say with her down-syndrome son and her daughter's pregnancy that family is more important.
Palin will step down so that McCain won't have to.

He made a very poor choice choosing her as his running mate, not that it matters (he was never getting my vote anyway).  I just saw her in an interview on CNN, she was talking about the need to drill in Alaska while "preserving" the environment.  That's a load of crap, she doesn't want to "preserve" anything except her right-wing, evangelical beliefs.

I'll bet anything she told her daughter that she's having this baby, that she doesn't get to choose, even though it's her body.  ::)

I am shaking with joy over this. I want him to loose so badly. He's a war monger and a senile old man. He's got a very interesting and disturbing psychiatric record. He's in no condition to be one of the most powerful men in the world. I trust Obama with making those decisions. He's at the age where that head on his shoulders is going to work the best.

And you're right about the baby. Here's a quite I found:

"We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents," Sarah Palin and her husband Todd said in a joint statement, confirming news reports of Bristol's pregnancy.

"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family," the statement said, pleading for media privacy.

And I'll bet that her parents are forcing her to marry the guy.  Poor girl...

making kids get married isn't the best solution.  It could work out, but it could also become very abusive and filled with resentment.

It's different if the kids want to marry, but the quote doesn't specify.

The reason she got pregnant is because she's a right winger and
they don't want children to get sex ed... The result, tons of
teen pregnancies...

so, right wingers don't know that sex gets them pregnant, eh?   Obviously, I spent too much time trying to pick up the wrong type of women.   Shucks.  ::)

No, sorry.  Not even Americans can explain it.  IMHO, this is another attempt to get the campaign away from the real issues the country and the world must face.  I, for one, do not care about her daughter.  After all, at least she is consistent in this area.  However, I do care about her stances on other issues, and I find them to be much more important to focus on.

Well, these are the people who champion 'family values' and work to keep sex ed and birth control information out of the schools, just for a start.

Meh. It's not a big deal to me. I just like talkin' crap.  ;D

Like most of her ilk, she does not walk the walk to match her talk.  She is a fraud.

I hope the media and others don't jump on this girl. She got pregnant, so what. A lot of girls get pregnant. It is her mother that is running and not her family. Let's look at the issues that are coming up and with us at this point.

Right.  That's so Republican.  Our family problems are 'off limits' but we can use them against the Dems.  Can you imagine what would have happened had Chelsey got preggers when she was 17?  Or if Obama had a 17 year old preggers daughter?  Yeah.

The problem here with the "personal" angle is that someone who profess abstinence as
as a sex ed solution will either have to either admit it doesn't work because teens will be teens
and this ->-bleeped-<- happens, or admit to being personally responsible for not controlling in her teenage daughter
(then why think you can do anything for the US...).

The first option (teens will have sex and they need protection) is obviously the answer, but
I'm betting she'll say her daughter was a "special" case and god told her to have sex...  ;)

This is indeed the dilemma they face.

To be fair, I have yet to see anything remotely resembling such a statement.  What I expect, and hope for, is that they will admit failure of some kind, then move on to do the responsible thing of loving and raising the child.  I do applaud Obama for taking the high road in this, reminding the public that he was born to just this kind of situation, and asking people to just focus on the issues and leave children out of this.  Of course, he is in the enviable position of saying this, knowing that the press is never going to leave this alone.
