And no I am not talking about the end of the rainforest!!!!
I was surfing threw the "Out and about." pics. in the photo gallery.
And there was that picture that Kate had placed of the Flight 93 Memorial, and it just sent a shiver down my spine.
I watched the other night on the history channel that dramatization of what had happened.
I am sure it was not exactly what happened to the T, but I just wanted to say how damn good it is to live in a country where alot of us still have compassion, and the courage to do what is right. Yes, I know sometimes it seems like alot of crap is not right, but still we have so many freedoms to do our own thing, and I just wanted to say so.....Tamerisk40

Hi Tamerisk hon, there are still many good caring folks around, it's just that they're not that easily or readily seen, many of them are selfless folks working behind the scenes. Those whose heart is not into it soon find their own way out the door. You will find these caring folks in such places as government and private public services. I worked for many of them both private and government run social services centers in the past 22 years. After two years retirement I have again returned to getting involved in these type of services. I hope I'm on the same track, if not then just disregard this post.
I truly enjoyed reading your post

Many people think I am a nut because I am a Patriot.  I love the United States and her people.  Yes there are nuts and kooks, but that is part of the human experience.  I may not support war, but I support our men and women in uniform.  I may not care for politicians, but we have a good form of government.  We are the freest country on the planet.  Many will say I am naive but I have seen a lot in the last 54 years, some good, some bad.  Just look around the world and see all the dictatorships, religious run governments, oppressive regimes.

And remember, please that if you think that I am a nut and you disagree with my views, we are in America and you have that right.  I still can love you.

Hi Janet hon I agree 100% on the post you submitted above. I have been called a lot of different things and probably came close to being tarred and feathered on different occasions in the past years. No matter how nice and how supporting one tries to be to others some will still find faults with what you are doing. Well, such is the order of affairs I suppose. Business as usual, stand in line for the fleecing.

I agree with you both. I am proud of what we have accomplished in our time as a country, and hope that we in our life of plenty do not become to complacent.
I remember why we went to Afghanistan to begin with, and have had at some times issues with Iraq, but for us to pull out to soon will cause I feel, grave problems for us.
Seems as though the third world countries understand one thing, and that is either death or life. I have spent quite alot of time on the other sides of our boundries, and it is nothing that John Q public can understand at times.
I am glad for the men, and women that wake up the morning of their deployment, and actually leave their families, and homes, and step onto those transports for their country! Wow, what a sacrifice!!!!
I hope you both have a great day, and thanks for your imput..
