When I was 14 all I could think about was sex and money and what I could do to get sex and/or money.  Now that I'm way beyond 14 I think about other things like, well, um, ahh, well, I'll get back to you on that.

Both times the psychologist said that they want to see WHY I have become to a ''male transsexual''. The genderspecialized psychologist  did not find intensive straight for what they said implying ''gay transsexual'' or what the other type is. They saw only severe primary gender dysphoria and other psychological problems.  The interpretion: ''Because you do not like being man you have chosen a transsexual identity. I cannot accept your choice.''

I guess I've been a bigger fan of Queensryche than Rush. But really, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Their styles are completely different.

Yes, currently I see a ghost there. According to some RO-critical sites, many of answer here (included mine) would give points towards some ''unwanted'' personality findings. It could not be scientific. However in full RO-test there is 10 plates and the psychologist usually asks why do you see what do you see.

I was only given ink-blot tests a very long (about 32 years) ago. At that time, I thought it was fun.

But now, I wonder just how scientific such tests can be. I mean, what people will see in such images will vary from person to person, based on their hopes, fears, and possibly even their senses of humor. To then try and say that certain impressions indicate certain issues or disorders seems strange to me.

But then again, I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist. That's just my $.02.

Old post but when I read it I got angry. Like Shades, 30 plus years ago I was given these kinds of test by different Psychs and Therapists for over a year only I didnt find them amusing at all. This R O tripe,  other tests and psychtropic meds started me down this lifetime of loss after I was denied doing exactly what I am doing right now, only now I have much less time to be my true self.  Yep, this gals bitter when it comes to these tests and their relevance to transsexuality. They didnt want just anyone back then to transition,  only the most promising they thought would fit in. And that people is just what I was told and sent packing with my Elavil to calm me down.
