Sarah Palin is No Hillary Substitute

I'd say we have a pretty definitive understanding of where Sarah Palin stands on issue of equality for our community. Sarah Palin is against recognizing our relationships, against domestic partner benefits, and against hate crimes laws. She championed that her second top priority in office would be preserving an anti-gay definition of marriage. The more we find out about her record, the more frightening her record becomes," said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese.

But they both have a vagina.  What else do they need to share?

I don't think they share that, tekla. I believe each of them has a separate one. Definitely separate brains and at least one has a heart. Not sure about the Bullwinkle murderer though. :D

Hey Rocky!  Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!

But that trick never works.

God, we can only hope the American Public has learned something from the Ward/Jay cartoons.

They are so freakin old, but still good, and I doubt America learned anything much from them the first time, forty years later? Well, that's prolly just a hopeless kinda wish. *sigh*

Too few will make the connection between Fearless Leader and McSame and Boris & Natasha and Sarah!

I am worried about our rites if McCain and Palin get into office.  I do not really see any hope for Obama getting into office.  He does not have the support that McCain has.  Its going to be a sad day when they come into power.   :-\

Oh ye of little faith, its already bad, its only a question as how it becomes worse.

McCain getting elected and then croaking the day after being inaugrated and Palin taking four years? That might well be much worse.

Butcha know, I'm getting bullish on Obama again. I truly believe he'll make it.

Look on the bright side, McCain might die as he is sworn in. That way Sarra - Caribou Barbie - could do the full president deal.

O, yes. That scenario is right at the top of my dream wish-list! :)

Oy, god/dess help us if that happens!

Might be a mass exodus to Canada... which since it's a neighboring state, I can see it, thus... yes, you guessed it, Z is qualified to be VP  >:D

Yeah it has been a bad 8 years and I do not see it getting better.  I whole heatedly would like to see a Democrat in the office.  I am glad that Obama is for our rites as a whole.  I mean Palin goes to a church that says they pray away the gay.  LMAO.  When I heard that I could not stop laughing and worrying all at the same time.  My vote is for Obama.
  •

tekla

If they are going to 'pray away the gay' I got some news for them from San Francisco.

A) you are not doing a good job at it.

B) God hates what you are praying for.

take your pick.

When president Palin is given the oath of office after president McCain passes, we all had better get used to wearing pink triangles on our coats.

Crystalnacht and the night of the long knives is just a start.  But, just remember, that it's all in the name of Jesus...

:eusa_think: if this happened at lest Canada would be able to have plenty of room for us to get away from president Palin. thats is if she was able

to stay in office that long .with out being tossed out on her rear.  :eusa_think: :eusa_think:

But, darling, there's precedent for that "name of Jesus" stuff: The Inquisition, pograms across Europe against Jews from 390 CE onward, the various Crusades, the Massacre of Bezier, the Massacre at Jerusalem after the city was taken in the 1st Crusade, the Burning Times, ... need I continue? This is all very scriptural and holy as a means of "defending the Faith." tsk, tsk. You over-react, dearest Sandy!

Actually, I think we would see places like the Left Coast begin to talk about withdrawing from the United States.

Actually, I think we could see places on the east coast chat about withdrawing from the United States. (SF a city-state?!! Imagine the cost-of-living then!!!)

I read a piece by Naomi Watts on Huffpo that posits the idea that Palin is the face of the future dictatorship. Palin is compared to Evita as being the front for the fascists once McCant dies (probably with a secret service knife through the throat).

Anyway, Ms. Watts explains that destroying the Nation's finances is one of those steps that makes it easier to bring in Iraqi's as Police to replace american ones, and then it goes on from there. I almost had a heart attack because, when I'm weak, I'm susceptible to this kind of thinking.  I still don't feel good.

My thought is that, unlike Argentina, we have national guards for each state, plus the gun nuts will be shooting the faces off the fascists as they come to their doors to disarm them.  As long as we can break away from hellsville, we'll be okay.

I can't believe this is how I feel about my own stupid country. That it's out to get us all.

In reality, I don't believe in nations, boundries, or flags, but I did appreciate where I live because it was a nice place. Once. Not perfect, but nice. There was hope.
