I got bored, and decided that since I can't transition IRL, why not transition at least on the internet? So I proceeded to create a new email/dA/LJ/whateverelseiuse account with the name I will change mine to. And honestly it was a very liberating experience. Made me feel more like -me-. And also that transition isn't such a scary thing. I'm not sure why I was intimidated; I hadn't even noticed that I was until the feeling left. I guess I didn't quite realize that I'll still be the same person. And maybe it sounds stupid to not have realized this, but it just seemed like such a huge change. But now I know I'll have the same talents and flaws and wishes and dreams.

It is a very comforting thought.

Just thought I'd share.

Well, it's good that you found some actions that give you the feeling that you can be your true self.  It's hard IRL, but there are small things you can do for yourself, like hang around with others on the internet and get people to know you as your true identity.

The important thing is that if you start feeling boxed in, there's always some action you can take to give yourself some release. Never allow yourself to be shut down.

I can relate to creating new methods of net communication as yourself being a liberating experience. I felt the same when I made the email address I use here, in my chosen name. It was a great feeling, and selecting 'female' from the gender drop-down list felt very right. :)

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3
