Hi everyone,
I just registered after having found this forum...after having spent gobs of time online looking for information.  I'm 36...or will be tomorrow actually and I was born in a male body.  I have only recently come out to my parents...like two weeks ago.  They seem to be taking it alright but "need time".  My mother says it feels like she is losing a son...a horrible thing to say...makes me feel just peachy  :-\ .  She doesn't mean to be cruel of course...she's just unaware of how it makes me feel.  Anyway...I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment at all the new things to consider.  I already have a "regular" therapist and am looking for gender therapy.  I am in a relatively small town so I will need to look out of town...possibly out of state even for the closest.  I suppose I don't need to throw everything onto the screen in this introduction...so much to say and so much I want to learn.   Really glad I found this place :0)

Hi Jamie, Happy Birthday. I also live in a small town and see a Therapist about 50 miles away in another State. It is a little inconvienient but well worth it to fond a quality Therapist that knows what she is doing and is trans friendly. I have found that things seem to come in their own time regarding transition irregardless of how we wish things to go. Have faith and it will all come together for you. Hugs
