There is phrase the Steven Ambrose uses when talking about Lewis and Clark when he says "at that point they stepped off the map and into the unknown." Always liked that idea of stepping off the map, moving into the void.
I would however offer this caution. If your moving to move up, to get what you want, to become who you are, you have a high chance of success. If you are moving to run away from stuff, you will have a high degree of failure. Like the old zen saying, 'where ever you go, there you are' it might help you to become yourself around a new bunch of people, in a new place, but its still going to be you trying to do it.
