Yesterday I bought 3 great albums for me
Pearl Jam 1993-2005 2 cd, 33 songs
Audioslave- self title album
Evanescence- Anywhere but Home (live)(CD and DVD)
Coming from Seattle, I been missing the sounds of Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell (lead singer of Audioslave, former lead singer of Soundgarden). I normally got enough back when I was in Seattle listening to 107.7 The End on the radio. I have been here 3 years now (Mississippi) and sort of miss hearing it on the radio.
Evanescence was my favorite music when I heard a few from Origin album, around mid to late 2002, which most the songs became the Fallen album. Back then they were touring small bars, where interviewed on the local radio trying to get people to come out to it. (one bar in Tacoma I remember). I didnt go, but love the song they played on the radio live, auqustic plus her singing (no drums nor bass). I love the DVD concert I watch last night. I lover their hypnotic, surreal, almost angelic, mixed with rock and piano ballads sound. I do think future albums will be hamperred by the missing Ben Moody who is off doing other things like his single with Anastacia "Everything Burns" from Fantastic Four Movie. And co writing "Because of You" on Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway album. Hearing a sample of Evanescence's next album, is really missing his sound. He was the guitar architect that added the counter force to her piano/haunting vocals. The new stuff , without him, sounds real flat on that side now, and weakens her sounds, with the lack of contrast.
