I like my slavery the old fashioned American way, Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben.

OMG.  At Holiday World, which is quite possibly the whitest and most evangelical theme park in the US (but it's cheap and the drinks are free!), they have a toy collection that contains a lot of toys from that time period...very 'mammy'...
If curiosity really killed the cat, I'd already be dead.

And here I was thinking that was the Republican Convention.

what else is slaved?

Diamonds.

Sex - there's a sex slave trade, apparently.  What kind of freak looks a person in the eye as they abuse them?

some clothing is slaved.

So, you can wear sweatshop suits with diamond cuff links while chugging sweetened mocha while somebody's son or daughter pleasures you.  While you pet a puppy mill puppy with one hand while soaking your feet in a bucket of fried caged chicken.

[...and it was then that the ship was boarded by pirates]

In chapter 4, the slaves revolt, but no one tells them when it's supposed to happen.

If you want coffee made from beans that that weren't harvested by slaves, you can always go for Kopi Luwak -- then instead of tasting the slavery --  :o

I'm afraid you have missed the point. If we can't taste the slavery then we will not partake at all.

I think this is why Pica does not drink it....

If that is the place, where can I see the whiteness and evangelicalness so I can lul my pants off?

Pica needs to enslave someone and see how enjoyable it is.  Maybe hang out at the docks and shang hai some sailor and force the guy to do Pica's housework.

That's the tase of slavery.

perhaps the civits were pressed into "service"; thus slavery coffee with a twist. I'll bet they are tired of eating coffee beans. someone, somewhere, has got to look out for the poor, abused civits!

Slavery is supposed to be cheap. That civet poo coffee is anything but cheap.

Diamonds are not only salved, but support terrorism.  A real two for one.

Diamonds are not only a girl's best friend, but you can use them to crack glass and do great B&E type stuff too.

If you don't like your coffee or diamonds you can send them to me. I only like espresso and French roast. I do feel for the mistreatment of people who work their tails off for near nothing. I did enough of that myself. That won't stop me from making a cappacino

You appear to be the mentor we've been searching for all our lives.

Sometimes I sell my house and buy as many blood diamonds as possible then throw them into the sea so that I can buy another batch (after working 20 years to own another house).
I'm not a fool, however. I take the time to taste the blood and sweat and suffering by completely licking each diamond.

You should see my tongue.   :P   see?

It's more scary than funny... :icon_suspicious:  There was a girl working there named "Rapture".  So weird.  But we keep going back...

Since your licking blood diamonds, does that make you like some kind of bling-hungry vampire?

Maybe, but I'll lick anything that has touched a slave.

Coffee is gendered in every language but english ;)

It's not gendered in Swahili, either.  And there are many other languages without genders.
Sorry, word nerd here.
