I can't seem to find this information anywhere on the web.

I'm a bit concerned that my hips are too wide for a male. It's all bone as well; I seem to gain minimal fat on the hips and thighs. I'd like to know what the other men think of this, or their measurements.

Side to side, it measures 12 inches. Pubic bone to the top of the iliac crest is seven inches tall, and back to front an eight inch diameter. I'm also 5' 6" in height.

I don't want my hips to widen any more (late puberty) and recently I've taken up distance running. Think maybe it'll help?

Thank you for taking the time with my body insecurities,
Silver

Hello Silver,

We are all diffrent body shapes. Some of the guys on here have the same problem you do. Running and T will help with the butching your body up.

yeh have same issue.  wide hips which are mostly bone.  Just hope when can loose some weight that it's not as bad as think it is.
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

I worry 'bout my hips too. They're as wide as they can get seeing as I've actually given birth the once. I'm not terribly worried however as my partner who's bio-male has hips that are actually almost as wide as mine (I can steal his pants sometimes! though they're not long enough..) and as such I don't think you guys should worry too much either.
There's other blokes out there that are built with big hips too.

Yeah my hips are pretty wide for a guy. It bothers me sometimes, but it's not like it's really noticeable to other people. I wear my pants low which helps hide them so my body just looks straight. I'm not on T but I've heard that going on it will help w/ that

Meh. I've met a lot of transguys with "big hips" but their belly fat levels it out. Plus, I find something REALLY hot about a man with hips.

I personally just have a really small waist. My hips are pretty level with my ribs.

I have reasonably wide hips, but if you bulk up the upper body it evens things out :) I notice all the time now when bio-guys have wide hips or gynomastia (sp?) makes me feel better lol XD

Yeah, looks like I'll have to stick with the standard method of hiding it. I guess it's the only irreversible effect of female puberty.

Cheers,
Silver.

I drew this character a while back... don't know if they're male or female lol I made it ambiguous. But I find them hot and they have wider hips... I say, lets make wider hips look sexeh for all mens XD

Think that's just something we ftm guys have to deal with. I wear my pants right on my hips, and they're 38... I'm not so worried at the moment, because I have weight issues I'm trying to resolve, but once they're resolved, I worry a bit about how people will see me. However, I've seen plenty of guys with big hips, most of them skinny, and figure it's just another quirk of the population.

Yeh, I have to wear a 42 currently.   Hard to find sometimes and trying to get anything bigger is almost impossible to find in a regular store it seems.  I need loose weight that will help but I know there is a limit to how small can go down to.  There was a time once all the females in mom's side wore side 16 womens, so it's inherited.

I've come to love my ironing board physique.  Though I was always glad I didn't have wide hips or big boobs, having no waist was a huge issue back when jeans were NOT low rise and I used to think I was fat because pants didn't fit.  I had to wear men's jeans.  Oh the horror, LOL.

Well now that ironing board has a beer gut, but no hips...

Unfortunately, my hips are wide and really bony.  So even if i lost a lot of weight it wouldn't have much of an effect.  They're 35" which is pretty much as small as they can get.

I actually lost a couple inches in the hips. Couldn't be bone, obviously. I have a much better shape on T. Obviously not completely, what would it be textbook guy. I have been on T for ten months, so I still think I have a ways to go.
I have looked at cis guys btw, and I think there is a wide variety of guys shapes. I think it is a good exercise.
