Yes, revision was needed. At 4 months post-op I developed severe granulation, as can happen with any skin graft.
3 attempts by my OB/GYN to cauterise it failed. It would have cost $6,000 to have the lesions surgically excised, and they were loath to do that as the basic surgical result was so good, they didn't want to spoil it.
But... I paid $1500 instead for the airfare and accommodation, and Dr Suporn fixed it for free under his lifetime unlimited warranty.
I lost some of my labia minora, and the lesion at the tip of the neo-vagina didn't heal after cauterisation, so Dr Suporn advised me to let it fuse, losing me an inch of depth.
So I only have a 7.5" depth now.
Dr Suporn says it's the worst result he's had in 2 years, and if I want, he'll do some more cosmesis on the labia. My OB/GYN and GP - who have dealt with about 100 GRS patients between them - still say it's one of the best, most natural results they've ever seen.
