Yes, that is correct. Let me clarify. Progynova is 17 beta-estradiol. I do not dispute that. But if Inhouse Pharmacy (apparently your source for the above quotation) can be trusted, Progynova is also estradiol valerate, as Shelina says. That means that it is a particular type of preparation--an ester or compound--of 17 beta-estradiol, just as Flan says. I'm not saying that it ISN'T 17 beta estradiol.
And I think it very interesting that your quotation appears in the Inhouse page RIGHT UNDER the section header "Progynova--estradiol valerate." You appear to have forgotten both the header AND the text that explicitly identify Progynova as estradiol valerate.
