Queer Youth Network make formal complaint about The Sun's transphobic description of singer Kim Petras.

Queer Youth Network - the UK's national LGBT youth organisation -  has lodged a formal complaint with the Press Complaints Commission after its members sent dozens of letters by young people and parents outraged at a recent article in The Sun newspaper attacking a young transsexual person, labelling her as "Misguided".

In February 2009 The Sun newspaper printed a story about how Kim Petras had become "the youngest person to undergo a sex-change operation" and her struggle to overcome years of bullying to eventually pursue a successful modelling and music career.

Protesting any sensationalist and knee-jerk statements from any Murdoch production is akin to protesting that the sun moves east-to-west.

It's just the natural order of things.

Yeah, truth, accuracy and fairness are just slogans, not working rules.  Like the Weekly World News I thought people read The Sun because its so far over the edge. It not news, its entertainment for most.
