A transsexual convicted of killing a hitchhiker near Mildura 19 years ago will stay in a New South Wales jail for at least another 15 months.

Noel Crompton Hall was jailed for life in 1987 for the murder of 29-year-old Lyn Saunders at Gol Gol but the sentence was later re-determined to 22 years.
