First Bra Sizing

Hello, I know that bras are asked about all the time but I have been getting a bit of anxiety over my first few bras.

Because I'm not on hormones yet, I don't have much to hold, but aren't there like masectomy bras and stuff that are for women with nothing there, that come with cups and stuff??

I have to have some sort of padding there the first time I go out as a woman, so how can I do that when I have nothing there? I'm a little self conscious about going into a store and asking for help. Do I buy a bra with my band size and stuff it for a while?

I'm confused.

That's a good place to start, yes. I would recommend going with smaller cups rather than DD's, especially if you don't have the cleavage yet to back them up. you can also order bras online at places such as Hanes and Maidenform, in sizes harder to find in the department store. If you have a larger chest size there's also little extension straps you can buy to help with the fit.

I think the mastectomy ones are expensive...

Some of the best advice on 'stuffing' techniques (as well as other related subjects) can be found on 'crossplay' forums.  I can't give an actual link due to forum rules but just google it and if you poke around a bit you should be able to find various threads related to 'fakies' and so on.

the mastectomy breast forms can cost up to $400 or more- you can get some pretty good ones at the Breastform store for a lot cheaper (easy enough to find online). I've even seen them at Wal-Mart for under $20 in the lingerie section. Depends on what you want to pay.

Rice in nylons.  Small bird seed in nylons.  Both make good breast forms.

If I was to do this, how big should I make the forms so that I have a "realistic" set of breasts? I am 6'1" and I have a slim build, if that helps. Tall girls seem to have smaller boobs, so maybe I should buy a B cup and fill it with the forms??

Yes that is the best way.  Try making several different sizes.  And good place to find directions is Making Breast forms.

And one thing that I have notice is that the size must be right for your frame.  If you are tall and thin, DD would not look good.

Mastectomy bras, no. Cheap silicone barbie doll breast forms, yes.

I use Pals breast enhancers and they are quite comfortable.  Don't go overboard on the size.  You might think about the size you want ultimately and try one cup size smaller to get use to them.

You can get adhesive if you want.  The adhesive will last a couple of days.  Do a search for "Pals Breast Enhancers."  There are a number of online outlets and they are not as expensive as some of the other manufactureres plus they will last a lot longer.

No offense to anyone, but A cups are pretty small (especially one someone 6'1"!).  I would say buy one bra with B cups and one with C cups and see which one looks more natural.

I have to say that I loved the silicon forms from the Breast Form store and they were only around $160 for a 40C. I was very attached to them until my recent "purge" where I had my wife sell most of my clothes, shoes, and forms on eBay. =/

I would agree that an A cup is too small for a 6'-1" frame.  I'm 6'-3" and the C cup looks very natural.  I would suggest a B or a C cup to start.

Agreed for 6 foot or more, an A cup is visible under a loose shirt, but can still pretty much look like a male chest. A small B cup you will show a feminine figure, but still not a lot, it will depends on the clothes.

A big B, small C cup looks rather appropriate proportionally. Even a D cup won't look huge (big but not huge), especially if you have a wide ribcage.

It is called Transwonder. So i called the manufacturer of this bra to answer some questions about their product. The CEO has sent me a clip from his last party in berlin (he is a TG by himself). The party is called "Queerboot". It is the "Melly Jackson" part at 3:31





He assures me that the bra has held the cleavage the hole party long. So i have purchased one and now i wait for my own one.

For the amount of rice, I would assume that you just need enough to fill out the cups, probably need to experiment a little.
