Well, the mere fact to be home after a long week is just wonderful.  I haven't had a day off in two weeks, and I'm afraid that will continue until flu season ends.  Oh well, the other wonderful thing will be my check with all that OT.

Well, the mere fact that it is a holiday (and don't have to work after almost six weeks of 12-hour shifts without days off) and that I slept for hours is just wonderful!  :-*

We had hubby's niece visit from out of state over the weekend.  While I've met her, I've never really had a chance to get to know her.  We had a delightful time visiting some of the local tourist sites, eating out, and just sitting around listening to music and talking.

I love it when family visits.  It is a wonderful escape!

After running quite poorly in a race last Saturday, I ran well in my workout today.  Now I'm feeling much calmer than I was.

It is 11:18 P.M. here in Utopia, and I just came home from having dinner with a dear long time friend.   We had a wonderful evening; talked about everything really and time really flew.  "Back to the real world Cinderella" said my internal voice; "you have to work a ten hour shift tomorrow so go home and rest".  that little voice of mine can be merciless at times.... ;D

My little brother (Who I haven't seen since like 3-4 years well prior to my going full time etc.) came up and visited this last weekend bringing his G/F with him. Which was cool. So he finally got to spend time with the real me and seemed ok with it whereas before he was rather afraid of it. And they got to meet Melissa and I got to see some other almost relatives (well ok they are his relatives which sort of makes them mine too) that I think of as relatives which I hadn't seen since before transition also.

Now I'm waiting for Melissa to get home so I can make her some fajitas for dinner and then we can spend some time cuddling.

Tomorrow I do a little more job searching then head down the coast to see my dad and we go halibut fishing.

I got it, I got it!  Yeee peeee!  LOL  ;D :D  I had been trying to get this new position at work since last March (yeah, this is how long the position has been opened).  Anyhow, I took the requirement tests about six weeks ago, passed three interviews but there was no news until today.  While I was doing my thing at work, I received an email from the Human Relations Dept informing me that I had been offered the position.  I'm sooooooo happy right now.   This is indeed a major career change, and I am smiling ear to ear...

I just got finished playing a gig with my new band.  It came out awesome.  Our drummer is incredible.  God, it's good to be fronting a band again.

It's been a week since I took over my new position at work, and I am very happy to say that I have made it.  The first two days were rather hectic, but it got better on the third day.  Tonight I was invited to dinner by some friends from work.  We went to Benihana, a famous Japanese restaurant here in Utopia.  We had a wonderful time together; it is great knowing that I work with such incredible, mentally-matured, and professional people.  It was a wonderful day indeed.  :)
