Yeah they do.  I was watching a Pony League game (high school age) and this kid, who was going into his junior year was throwing at 81-83 mph.  I was awestruck.  So were the guys on the other team.  K after K

mmmmmm.......*smile*.......I just put my eight year old grandson to sleep reading him several chapters of My Side Of The Mountain, one of my favorite childhood books.
I feel at peace, reading to my grandchildren.

I read My Side of the Mountain when I was a kid too!  I loved it!  I wanted to be just like that kid.... setting up in a tree!  I wish that I would have kept it.

Oh my, two wonderful things.

After two grandsons, the new grandbaby is going to be a girl!!!  Dee is somewhere around flight level 350 (35,000 feet) she's so excited.

I've been one year without a cigarette.  In fact with what I saved, I just purchased a new Pentax digital SLR that cost the equivalent of a years cigarettes.  My present to myself for quitting.

Congrats all around.
As for my news:
At the end of the month I'm flying to Nice with Eileen. We're going to stay with  my father for a day or two in Grasses and then on to Corsica (Isola Bella) for a week. We just can't wait.
Life is good.

...then on to Corsica (Isola Bella) for a week.

Wouldn't that be Innisbella?  ;)  Now you will be back before we get there in July? The Garda might take a dim view of us visiting you if you weren't there. ROFL

Have a wonderful trip.

That was the Corsican Version of "l'Ile de Beauté"
I see you're brushing up on your Irish! Innisbella has a nice sound to it. I even prefer it to Innisálainn
As for being back in July, who knows? With a bit of luck we might get kidnaped by some darkly handsome bandits  :P and you'll have to raise a efty ransom to get us back. :D

Anyway don't forget to bring your new camera with you.

Hugs

The neighborhood is a riot of color with both white and pink dogwood trees blooming along with the white, light pink, dark pink and red azaleas along with the purple wisteria hanging in the trees in back of the house.  Yes, it's springtime in Georgia.  Of course the pollen count is over 3000 and I'm sneezing my head off.  LOL

If you want to see what it looks like, watch the Masters golf tournament on tv this weekend and look at the azaleas blooming there.  Beautiful.

Yesterday when I got on the elevator in my apartment building, I pressed the button for my floor. A man noticed that I was wearing pink nail polish, I usually present as male, and he said a bit loudly, "PINK NAIL POLISH!!??"

The lady that I (sometimes) am, my response was, "I'm tired of red!"

I truly wish the most pleasant evening for him.

The Easter Kitty allowed me to stroke it (though I had to be veeeeeeeeeeery gentle) while it ate the food I'd served for it.

That's the most contact it's allowed anyone without going all claws and teeth and hisses.

I had a very good talk with my son while we were rescuing my banjaxed hard drive. And we managed to fix it too.

My parents have been here with me for the last couple of weeks.  I haven't been around here much because of the wonderful time we are having together.  I do love to spend time with them, especially since we live so far apart from each other.  I'm afraid that their time to leave will come far too soon.

In the meantime, I shall enjoy their company.

Just as I had finished my dinner, my (soon to be ex) wife called in yesterday to collect some of her belonging she had left in the attic. My youngest daughter was with her. She was smelling the air and asked me what I had. I replied Spaguetti Bolognese and asked her if she would like some. Her mother said they were going home where she had prepared some too. Without a second thought y daughter replied " But I prefer Dad's own"...
Any way I invited them both to partake in what was left, washed down with a couple of glasses of Corsican Wine!  :)
