"Wow!!" how pretty and colorful, well at least someone thinks a lot about you to include you in on Secretary day.  ;D

I never had nice flowers like that given to me, but I have had some of people hug me on the job.

Well I have got some flowers from Wing Walker.

today i spoke to someone who wasn't put off by who/what i am... and they still seemed interested. Better still, we clicked and i think something may come of it.

This is the first time someone's actually shown an interest in me who knows about my TS status.

Well Kate..... I dunno.... what grade did you get?  ;)  That's a mighty fine accomplishment.  Now what are you going to do ... go to Disneyland?

Seriously, it's amazing to look back on that one year and see just how odd, unusual, mind blowing, and just freaking wonderful it was... no?

I use too many periods.

In less than 12 hours we will be flying to Nice! My sister will meet us in Cannes and then on to my Dad in Grasse. I took picture of each of the Children in front of my Mum's portrait he painted when he met her in 1950 and that he gave me last time I went over. I know he will be delighted. This morning on the spur of the moment I phoned my Dad's cousin who lives in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. She is only 2 years older than me and was my first love when I was 12 and she was 14. She is coming back home to Corsica after 45 years in Africa and since we will be there we'll meet her at the boat in Bastia!
We are packed and ready, as excited as kids going in an adventure. I haven't been back for 20 years and Eileen has never been there. I can't wait to show her the beauty and majesty of that most enchanting place (the ancient Greeks and Phenicians called her Kaliste).

Pace e salute

Sorry I haven't checked on all the wonderful things that have been happening to you all lately. It was nice catching up and I celebrate with all of you.

Me... I just picked up my first months worth of HRT from the pharmacy this morning. All my worries about the pharmacist or the sales clerk looking at me funny or questioning me about why I have these drugs prescribed failed to materialize. "Have a wonderful day" was all they said. Well, I am!!

I should also let folks know that I've settled on a name and will start signing myself, Dee.

I'll keep my account as Debbiej but change the way I sign my posts,

Hugs to all,

The Easter-kitty curled up in my lap today and purred so loud it could be heard through the window glass, I think.

We're really getting places, now, and I'm sorry I can't take it with me when I move.

What a wonderful topic!

Today as I was having chiropractic massage done, my therapist asked about my car. I told him I'd have to use a lot of my tax return to have my brakes checked.  He said he loves to tinker on cars & would be happy to look at them & not charge me an arm & a leg for it.

Sweet!

Back from Corsica. We had a magic time. I went back to where I used to live between the marches and the sea. The place has changed so little, so wild with pines and eucalyptus forests to the beach with no one on it just a couple of horses. Met the new owners of the land, they let us stay for the 4 days in a little self contained chalets they have built on the beach. We went up to the snow caped mountains, the majestic forests, the mysterious laques,  the deep gorges, the steep valleys, the isolated perched little villages, the dramatic calanques, the glorious beaches, the stunning waterfalls... we took it all in. Eileen fell in love with the place and the people. We went to all the haunts of my misspent youth, to Corte and my great grand mother's and grand mother's houses carved into the rock under the citadelle, to my Cousin's house in Sisco on the cap overlooking the sea and the Island of Elba, to the Castagnicia and the Balagna where I used to hunt and fish. Thanks to the locals resistance to development and the refusal of the people of any economical enticement of mass tourism the place has changed so little in 25 years. So beautiful, so proud, so wild, so clean and unspoiled. You are welcome to come and visit and stay but only by respecting what and who is there.
On our arrival back today I made a Corsican meal for my chidren with stuff we brought back. We all had a great time together, eating, drinking and reminissing.

This was the first week I was able to sit down with my cello since my nasty dog bite several weeks ago.  It is very difficult to play and it may take a year or so to get back where I was.... but I was able to at least draw some notes.  I'm pretty happy about it .... all things considered... I could have lost the finger.

Hi Cindi, I am glad that you didn't lose it, It's not nice to loose any parts of our limbs, Not me, but I have known some who did.  It would be quite difficult to play most any musical instrument with a finger missing. So are your still giving that little excursion to do some photography with your friend in Yellow Stone, I believe it was? It would make such a difference if you did get a interest like that, well maybe that gentleman as well as the photography. Geeee I am sitting here waiting for lightning to strike the servers to this forum. The last time we chatted we lost the board for almost two days.

well, it was actually yesterday the 14th, I went to my first HRT appointment and my nurse practitioner was a total sweetheart :-* I got 2 prescriptions: "estradiol" (2mg) and "spironolactone". Plus, before I left the office the nurse gave me an injection of estradiol which was cool.

She told me she may have me come in twice a month for estradiol injections after my blood tests come back. I have my next appointment on July 30th. I'm still nervous cus' I do have a lot more weight to lose even though I have done remarkably well already: started @ 525 lbs. and right now I'm 280 lbs, not bad...right?

Maybe this will be the motivation I need to keep losing weight and to get to the gym. After talking to so many of you gal's, especially "annajasmine" and "always amanda" I'm gona have to really watch calories and hit the gym!!!

Also, Sunday I came out to 2 really great friends who have accepted me fully and are very happy for me!!! Yes, a great week so far!!!

Cindy

Hi Kiera That is wonderful that your coming out to your family is working out well. So many do not have such positive outcomes but every now and again one finds a winner. I will send prayer that all continues to go well for you.
