I won some free breadsticks at a pizza place.  They have this little game like simon kind of, except the sequence is different every time and I've been trying to get a good score for years (maybe 10 times total) and I finally won.  I think the estrogen helped play a role (or is that roll ;)) in that.  Then when I was getting the breadsticks, the girl decided to give me some pizza sauce along with them. ;D

I rekindled an interest in something I haven't done for some time.  I hope I have time to return here.

I sat on Santa's knee and had my picture taken.  It's funny how the simple act of sitting on jolly old St Nicks knee brings on the smiles and makes you feel so darn good, causing you to forget about your troubles.

Ho, ho, ho

Karen came to visit today.  What a delightful time we had.  We talked about music, had Chinese food, and wasted a whole afternoon creating a time to remember.

Went shopping in Montreal - it's so nice to be able to do something for me.  Meeting with my brother tonight for supper.

And of course so happy that Steph is doing well.

Drove over to visit Cindi yesterday.  Her spread is beautiful!  It was NOT a waste of time, it was a meeting of similar minds!  ;D ;D  As she wrote, the conversation did not dwell on trans issues only -- in fact, they were but a small part of the range of topics we talked about.  Remembering the conversation(s), I feel we just barely touched on much deeper topics, racing over the surface looking for and flagging 'tells' of possible motherlodes of thought yet to be fully unearthed and examined.  Alas, we live close enough to meet occasionally yet too far to do so regularly.  I do look forward to future meetings, as there are many topics yet to discuss.

Oh, and I turned left instead of right, and went back via hiway 49, taking it slowly and prudently, and only encountering Bambi twice beside the road.

My boss's wife gave me a beautiful orchid as a gift today:

A curious choice, lol... hmmmm...

That's sooo sweet.  Orchids are my favorite flowers, for they can survive anywhere... :)

I got a kiss from a 5 year old, who also made me a snowman and gave me a home made Christmas card.

Things don't get any better than that.

A whole bunch of kids ran up and hugged me today and told me thanks for all I do!

For the first time, I played Tai Meditation by Massanet perfectly.  It was inspiring.  It moved me into another thoughtful and spontaneous urge to write another essay.

My son finished up his exams this week.  He's got just one more semester of coursework and then he'll do his internship.  I'm so darn proud of him.

Quote from: Laura Elizabeth Jones on December 15, 2006, 10:19:09 AMMy bathroom sink was fixed today. WOAH!! Now the water actually drains! OMG it is a miracle!!! LOL

Sometimes the happiest events in the short term, those that pick up our spirits, are the most simple.  May I congratulate you on your draining water!

Brick is coming home for the weekend!  Yeah!  I talked him into buying a new motorcycle for himself as a Christmas present.  I told him that I'd through in a third of the price.  If the checks come today, we'll go pick it up tomorrow. He's terribly excited.... like a little boy.  As I've mentioned before, he had nothing growing up or before we got together.  I'm so excited for him.

I also received a an especially touching note from someone who read my story.  It brought tears of joy to my eyes.

It's cold outside.  The stars are brilliant.  I always love going out to look at the winter stars.  Tonight it was to bring in a big log for the fire.  It burns quietly in the stove next to my reading chair.  I'm parked in it listening to Evening Prayer and Pantomime by Englebert Humperdink... one of the loveliest pieces ever composed.

A quiet wonderful moment to cherrish.  Merry Christmas everyone....  even if you are alone and are going through some tough times... look towards your goals and relish this time in your life.  It is wonderful.

I bought myself a nice high quality coat last night.  It was normally $200 and I got it on sale for $130. :)  I wore it this morning and it worked so much better than my old coat (which I was either way too hot or way too cold in :P).

Well Kelly, I suppose the shock is a good thing?  Good grades are always worth a celebration!

Okay... everyone else. Something wonderful happened to you today.  What was it?

Fess up!

Ok, now I have something I would really classify as wonderful (to me).  I just found out I will be able to take my girlfriend to this um...thing >:D I'm doing on Saturday.  I knew I was going for sure because I had already RSVP'd but was worried she wouldn't be able to since she never got around to it.  Also, I wore some really cool tights to work today that are like a cream color and have a dark honeycomb pattern on them and was complimented on them.  I love being fashionable.
