hi ladies!

i would like to seek your advice. so a good girl friend of mine, who is also MTF is going nov. 1 to have her SRS surgery. she is about 5 years older than me, and like a big sister in many ways. our relationship is unique as we are both transgendered females and we can relate on many topics that i can't with my "heterosexual" family/friends. needless to say i am very happy and proud of her. she lives out of town and came to visit last weekend for the final time before she leaves overseas. she will be gone for the majority of next month. i felt bad because after she left, i felt as if i should have prepared a small gift for her as a friend just to say "congrats". with less than a week before she leaves i do not have time to mail a gift so i would like to have it sent to arrive when she returns.

...so, the advice i'd like from you all would be: what is a good gift in the $50 US range for a person who is undergoing SRS?? share your ideas with me please. =)

A nice bouquet of flowers with a congratulations card and a warm personal message inside?  :icon_chick:

A fridge full of food?

A vibrator? >:-)

A pair of nice earrings? (my favorite)

A pallet of "personal lubricant"?

A subscription to her fav. mag or some good books. She's gonna need something to do while she's dialating.

I like this idea, although food is probably more practical.  Earrings would be good if you know what would be special to her.

I'm still pre-op, so I'm not sure about all the other stuff.

I think I would want to get something that said I was loved. :icon_love:  (But then I'm a sentimental old broad, and if you tell anyone that I am I'll cut your heart out. >:()

thanks for all of the ideas ladies! funny i thought of a vibrator too as a gag gift, but that may be a little much. hmm...i'm not sure what her favorite flower(s) are. i'm not good with flowers...any ideas on the best ones or your favorites?

...the thing is she is out of town and so i'd have to time the flowers arrival with her return home so they don't die or anything. i had also thought a gift card to victoria's secret so she could buy some new under garments and such as an anatomical female.

Go to a flower shop and ask a girl to put together a bouquet of her favorites

You have to write your own note though

A dozen roses, six red and six yellow.

Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
