Welcome to Susan's, Gates.

You don't have to do everything at once.  I came out to my friends before my family, but my situation may be different.  You want to build your base of support the best you can before you tackle the hard ones (if possible).

BTW, I changed from the diminutive of my birth name to a more adult version when I was 13.  Forty years later my mother still called me by the diminutive (when she didn't call me by my brother's name ::)).

Welcome and good luck. :)

Hi Gates, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3500 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Family can be the hardest to come out to, especially when they are not well.  I would suggest your sister first as she really wouldn't care.  Then maybe Mom and Dad last.  JMHO.

Blessed Be.
