To have top surgery privately without being on T? I am seriusly beginning to doubt if i will ever get on T thro the NHS the way things are going at the minute. Even a breast reduction would be a start i suppose but would prefer a male chest so i was wondering if anyone knew the formalities and legalities

I tried to find this out a while ago when I became incredibly frustrated with the lack of progress with my NHS transition. Most 'traditional' plastic surgery companies wouldn't touch me because it was a gender surgery. I think most surgeons will still require a referral letter that states you are mentally ready for surgery.

Maybe the best thing to do would be to email a surgeon and ask them what they need? Dai Davies has good results (IMO) and his secretary is very helpful. Sadly I just couldn't afford it.
