Forget childhood obsessions, what are your adult ones?

Why not a duct-tape bike?  A duct-tape car?  Me, I'd love me some duct-tape live size anatomically correct dolls, just to 'collect' you know.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Uh, I've found images of said creations on the 'net.

Order me two, then they could bread, then I'd get free duct-tape forever.

But Kat if they "bread," your duct tape will have yeast infections.

Here are a few of my more significant obsessions at present:

-Art (I do a lot of cartooning)
-Researching LGBTQ issues in K-12 education (I have an ongoing project, which is more my own than for school, though it finds its way into my homework often)
-Young adult literature (I can justify it--I want to be an English teacher... okay, so maybe it's a guilty pleasure)
-Historical fiction novels
-Birds (especially corvids-- crows and m->-bleeped-<-ies and suchlike)
-Studying, celebrating, drawing and writing about, being a part of, living, eating, and breathing human diversity!

...those are the ones that stand out in my mind, currently. Though there are more that fluctuate in and out.

Currently, I'm kind of in school-mode, so I have extraordinarily geeky obsessions at the moment. I mean... I'm always extraordinarily geeky. But I'm even more so than usual right now? (As soon as college slows down a little, which it's already starting to now, I'll probably lapse into Pokemon-obsession-mode, which I've been holding off for the sake of completing my homework. Which I guess is... also geeky, but a different kind of geeky? x3)

Edit: And for fun I am doing a side by side comparative reading of Robert Bly's "Iron John" and "Women Who Run With The Wolves". It's just basically analyzing their messages with an eye toward breaking down any concrete proof of gender they claim to impart. The cool thing is that more or less they give the same message. Estes is a bit more whimsical in her writing than Bly which is odd given that she's the academic and he's the poet but when you consider their intended audiences and the communication patterns oft preferred (or culturally inculcated) it makes a bit more sense.
