I was just curious how many of you were front sleepers before beginning HRT?  How long did it take before you had to change?  How difficult was it to adjust?

Front side? I imagine you're talking about belly sleepers. haha. I was, and still am an avid belly sleeper. Haha. Just gotta adjust somethings to get comfortable now, though :p

i didn't know that this was common among ts , i've always been and still am a front sleeper
i try to change it sometimes but , it's still how i can get to sleep mostly
*or.. cuddling (if that's an option)or hugging a pillow if i want to sleep on my side

Interesting question...

Before SRS I always slept on one side in the fetal position.

After SRS I can and do sleep in any position. I would say fetal is still the most frequent but quite often these days I sleep on my back and very occasionally I will sleep on my tummy.

Not sure what any of that means (if anything) but I'm sure a psychologist could tell me.

Due to problems with my neck and back I tend to wake up and change positions every couple hours  :P

I think what the Jessica is asking is how someone dealt when breasts start growing, putting pressure on them can hurt. When they first started coming in for me, I bumped them into something, ouch not pleasant .

Anyways I still sleep on my front still, just a bit harder to find the right spot ;)

The generality is that men sleep on their stomachs. women seem to prefer their side or fetal type positions. Men also seem stretch out more than women who curl up. I don't know it that has to do with just breasts tho cause I sleep on my stomach  quite often though I do curl up with a pillow or 'friend' at times.

I do and have always switched positions during the night. Front, back, side in a fetal position too.
As far as the sore breast, and they are at times, I just fluff up a couple of pillows and then they don't bother me.

I've almost always slept on my side in the fetal position. So nothings changed since I've been taking phyto estrogens.

I find it kinda hilarious how some people find things that are common in a small sample size of number of ts and assume it is common across the board.

I was a side sleeper, never a belly or back sleeper.  Now, I continue to be a side sleeper and sometimes a back sleeper, but still not a belly sleeper.

I sleep ether on my back or my left side.  Tummy sleeping has been out of the question since about 6 months into HRT.  Go figure.  ::)

I always thought most guys slept on their backs.  ::)

I used to sleep on my stomach the most with a small bit of side sleeping.  I changed later before hrt to just about everything with my stomach being the main choice.  Whatever was comfortable you know?  Now?  I never sleep on my stomach anymore.  Just can't get comfortable that way and now I tend to do more side hugging something or more fetal.

I always slept on my side or tummy, very rarely on my back. Mainly on my tummy.

My breasts are not so big but they are a little uncomfortable to sleep on, so I don't sleep on my front so much, but I still do occasionally. I usually tuck my arms under my pillow which seems to take pressure off my chest.

I curl up when it is cold, stretch out when it is hot.

Not MTF, but hey, I went through female puberty and developed a chest.

Used to sleep on my side, since then I've been sleeping on my stomach. They don't get in the way.

I tend to sleep in the fetal position. Though I start on my back and move around alot. Multiple pillows prevent any major sleep related injuries from occurring.

I am getting ready to fall asleep soon...I'll leave the computer on and have my cat post updates. ;D

My cat used to just love chatting when I was trying to have a conversation online.  He couldn't spell sadly.

Mine does the same. When I've been on the computer too long she even stands on the power button and turns it off.

I know the sampling size is small but hey it's a laugh.

I have 'always' slept with my right side to the mattress. It's about the only position I can get to sleep and relax in. I wake up anywhere. I even woken up upside down in the bed. And NO I wasn't drinking or smoking stuff.

But I also like to read in bed and I can only ever read when on my back. I'm hopeless at eating in bed; well eating food that is :embarrassed: Breakfast in bed doesn't work for me. But I love a cup of tea in bed in the morning. I make one in the morning and creep back to bed pretending it isn't time to get up. As soon as they make the tea making robot I'm for it. There use to be alarm clocks that made a cup of tea, but I haven't seen them for eons.
Yep, off thread again.
