My clinic got a new laser machine last weeks so they used it on me today.
This one is called a Polaris and they also got another one twice the cabinet size esepcially for tattoo removal. They are so busy that next week they can't fit me in for fiteen minutes! Must be making megabucks!
Anyway this one works on constant pulsing and the light is about 3/8inch or ten millimeter diameter but the tip of the handtool has two prongs about 3/4 inch long to keep the correct distance from the skin.
She doesn't need to use the messy gel with this one but instead just lightly guided the two prongs over my face and the beam hit the area correctly.
She said it was a lot more powerful than the 2009 Soprano one and I must say it was stinging quite a bit and there were very definite smells of burned hair although I'd had my usual shave only a couple of hours before.
To make it more bearable the machine has a built in air pump and she gave me a airhose and told me to try follow the tool over my face with the cold air. Pretty tricky to do it though.
She did all face in what seemed five minutes maximum.
So anyone wondering how to get rich just needs to train on one of these machines and start a clinic.
Interestingly enough i had my face done with both lasers. Guess what the newer one had less results, the older one worked the best, the reason: skill of the technician. If you get someone that knows what they are doing and how high to set the values and keep track for future sessions you will turn out great, but for some reason on average the older laser worked better no matter what.
since its newer people still need to get used to how it works and what gets the best results, also you will probably pay more, i was paying 300 for the new and i payed 150 for the old, and the OLD gave me better results... Just FYI.
