ooo very nice :)

Maybe they'll let you keep the skin cookie in a little jar or something to freak your friends out with haha! <3 dermal punches.

I'm thinking of stretching to 10g maybe bigger, I'm not sure. It's just a 12g atm. My friend had hers stretched to...I think it was a 0g. It was insanely awesome.

I'm too lazy to read through the thread at the minute so I'm just gonna answer OP :P

I used to have a hoop through my nostril because I new a guy with one and it looked awesome. It was ok but it did make me look more fem. I then let it heal up and got my septum pierced instead, I think that looks awesome and definitely not fem in the slightest.

After my septum punch is healed I want my conch punched at 8mm/0g then I think i'll be done with punches.

I have had both my nostrils and my septum pierced, and my septum piercing was WAAAAY more painful. I have a high pain threshold and have given birth to three kids naturally and I gagged when I had my septum pierced because it hurt so much for about the first 15 minutes. Especially the clamp, which I had to get her to NOT use because I couldn't handle it.
I guess my nose is sensitive.

Yeah.. I don't know why it was so bad. But if I had known I probably wouldn't have had it done. Love it now tho, and its stretched so i think it helps me pass.

To me, my transition and body modification are almost on an equal plane.  They will both help me towards expressing my true self.  I even get "unmodified" dysphoria.  ???  I suppose in this way I am androgynous, I feel like they will help me get out of the gender system.

Actually getting tattooed hurts a hell of a lot more than getting a piercing. You are being stabbed over and over with a bunch of little needles for an hour or more when you're getting a tat. You are stabbed one time for a split second for a piercing.

I love the feeling of get a tattoo!  It just felt like someone was running a vibrator at a really high speed on my arm, it didn't hurt in the least until about an hour later when I was driving.  Even then, the pain was awesome and I didn't mind.

But piercings make me cringe.  Even just getting my ears pierced hurt a lot more to me than getting a tattoo done.  I'd love a lip piercing, but at the same time I'm terrified of pain so I don't know if I'm brave enough to get one.

I'm still scared.  I've got a bit of a low pain threshold and I really don't want to get it and then be bawling like a baby afterwards.

My snakebites didn't hurt at all, barely felt the nostril piercing. My septum hurt like all hell, the clamp, oh god the clamp. The first time the piercer did it wrong, it was in the wrong place and they sent me off anyway. A few days later i went back and demanded the manager re-do it properly and he did, hurt like hell again >:( but it's cool now.

First time I got my septum done it was wrong too, my fault really for not rearching piercers properly and going to a bad piercer but I was a piercing noob then.

I'm gonna jump in without reading the replies here and just say that in my opinion, a nostril piercing would definitely hinder passing. They're a very feminine piercing.

Haha you totally shouldn't worry. I think it's really common to get nervous before getting a piercing, but it goes so quick and is such a short pain.
My girlfriend has a very, very, veryyyy low pain tolerance (she passed out after getting her septum pierced) but got her lip done and said it didn't hurt at all, and everything went completely smooth despite how nervous she was.
I think lips are one of the more painless piercings.

I have my monroe done which is almost like a lip piercing, kind of, but either way I honestly couldn't feel it at all, it was very and quick and almost painless.

And also to address the main question of this thread, even though I think it's been mostly answered, I honestly don't think it would make you seem feminine. I think it all depends on how you wear it. I've seen lots of guys with nostril piercings and I think they look nice and in no way feminine. But that's just my opinion of course. Also when people see you the nostril piercing might not be the first thing they notice. If they see male clothes, a flat chest, short hair, an ultimately male appearance with a nose piercing, I'd say they're pretty much just going to think you're a guy with a few piercings!  :)

Yay peircings!!  I've had 13 done, but only wear jewelry in 6 right now.  I've had my nostril done 2 times, with a stud the first and a cbr the second, and definitely preferred the cbr.  I've known lots of guys with nostril rings and have never thought of it as feminine.

Lip was my most painful, followed by rook (inner ear cartiledge) and my conch.  My lip was only that bad because the ring my friend originally put in was too big (she was on her apprenticeship and I got it done for free at the shop) and we had to change it within 10 minutes of having it done.  The second ring wouldn't go in, so I ended up on the verge of tears with a death grip on the table while she was forcing it through my lip.

I love my piercings and tattoos and agree with what others have said.  They are part of what makes me me.

I find a little gemstone stud is very feminie

I think that a stud or ring in the side of the nose is pretty feminine, but a very thick ring through the septum (and yes, they make me think of bulls, sorry, grew up on a farm) looks pretty masculine.
