I've known for awhile that I liked girls but never let myself pursue that avenue, not being ready for my family and friends to know.  So now that I'm out about liking girls, more or less, I would like to try finding a girlfriend...but have no clue how.  I've looked through some online personals and found a few that sounded interesting.  But this is the thing.  One, I don't feel comfortable in the women seeking women category, because I don't identify as being a woman.  But I don't yet feel comfortable in the men seeking women category, since I'm pre-everything and I only pass about 25% of the time and that's been just brief encounters.

And I wonder, when you respond to an ad,  should you be up front about being trans or wait till the first meeting (at which point, she might be, umm, a bit surprised--I look pretty masculine in photos but voice gives me away).  Maybe I should wait till after going on T but even then is the question of when and how to disclose to a potential romantic partner.   ???
