Hi Jocelyn hun, I don't know how to find your pictures in the members section but I can see by your avatar photo that there have definitely been some changes since the first photos you posted on this thread.   :)

Go to the Just for us forums. The thread is called "My Virtual FFS Pics". Also, I'll edit the photos into the first page of this thread.

I only wish I actually looked like my avatar on a day to day basis. It's just using lighting and camera angles to hide my large nose (and the bump on it) and my prominent chin. I think I also have my eyebrows slightly lifted. My hair is wet too which helps me look slightly more feminine with the straight (usually curly) hair framing my face. Anyways, that's basically just a best case scenario for me and rarely ever happens =)

You have GREAT raw materials!!! very very pretty face !  I'm so jealous.  Such pretty eyes OMG!  With your nose I would suggest a surgeon who specializes in FFS because there are slight differences between the genders that you'll want your surgeon to pay attention to.  Specifically the BRIDGE of the nose is more shallow and narrow on women... generally.  After your nose is "cuter" you may want to have the chin looked at but there are women who do have jutting chins like yours.  Generally women have slighter chins than men.  Your brown bone is slightly large for a woman but not overly so, you could probably get away with "shaving" or "burring" of your brow bone if you want your forehead to look a little more feminine as opposed to people like me who have large brow bones and would need complete reconstruction of the brow bone and orbital rims.  Your eyes are a bit deep set, which is a masculine trait, BUT you are right on the edge... so perhaps reduction of your orbital rims later on if your proverbial ship comes in.  These are simply my opinions... don't flame me.  Make sure you research your surgeon extensively.  You can easily find out if there have been any legal actions taken against your surgeon which can suggest extremely unhappy customers.  In the US there is Dr. O (although he is getting up there in age), Dr. Spiegel in Boston, (although there seems to be some unhappy patients who are wandering around but have not taken legal action against him for some reason), then there is Dr. Meltzer who does not circulate his after photos very much and I can't imagine why.  Dr. Z is under a LOT of fire because he is a bit brutish in some of his techniques where as Spiegel and Meltzer tend to be soft handed.  Dr. O is the god of FFS but ... rumors are circulating that he might be past his prime which SUX for us girls who didn't get to him 10 years ago.

I'm pretty much in your same boat, I had my nose broken as well and it's slightly curved to the side with almost the same bump. I know exactly how much you notice it every time you look in the mirror, and wonder why people don't just stare...

But, then I look at your picture and until I studied it I didn't even notice your nose. I see your chin and while today it is slightly squared I believe it will round off.

I am going to side with those and say give it time. I want to throw my picture up here right now and say ok girls, tear me apart what do I need? But then I realize that this is a process of 12-18 months, and I'm cheating myself if I go for anything now.

Two things that I'll say you will need regardless is a trach shave and your nose fixed. Other then that you have an amazing base that I think the hormones will take care of for you. And gain some weight! I am also like you and really skinny, for me it's extremely hard to put on weight be it fat or muscle, but find some way if you can and gain weight and I'm sure that will help a ton as well.

You are beautiful, so wait at least a year before deciding to do anything.

Hi Jocelyn,

I think that you are being quite sensible in your approach, in terms of passing trachea shave, that's it (incidently this is about the only thing that I don't need, sob!) If your nose bothers you then you should get it done because it will only increase your confidence. As for anything else, I really think that you should give it a couple of years before making any big changes, I think that HRT wil make a huge difference as will finding your own style. You have an amazing starting point and I think that you will look amazing.
