This looks interesting.

Especially, try to read some of the more recent responses.

Link removed as the information may be redundant

I was there at the end of Jun 2010 for sigmiod colon vaginaplasty.
The result isnt bad, almost painless.

The girls are wonderful and helpful.

Can I help in any way?

jiliemac.

The link I gave in #2 is almost entirely negative. As you probably know I have no experience of these surgeons. I was just trying to help.

Since you do have direct experience and are prepared to offer first hand experience. I will delete the link.

Amelia. Juliemac is the one to ask. Good luck

Hi Julie
I am planning to go to have SRS with him.  He seems so nice on email and I read good reports. I have confidence he can do a good job.  It sounds like you are happy too. Good to hear!
thanks

Just be aware, surgery was in the clinic, not a hospital.
The Golden Orchid hotel was nice and really close. He will have a driver move you to and from the hotel and the clinic. You are near the heart of one of the largest cities in the world, so don't expect sandy beaches.

I have the name and number of some one who took me on a tour to the Emporors palace, I'll dig it up and send it to you. I trust him and his english is good. The Gem Store is remarkable. Make sure you have some cash for decent jewelry!

Anne and Tic are the nursing staff. Anne is VERY good and Tic (as well), it was fun trying to get her to laugh  :)

When I was going to learn to dialate, I told the girls I named them. Jim, Tim, Bob and... Juan...
Tic had a hard time keeping a stright face  :)

Near the end of your stay they will send you to one of the largest malls in the world (with an escort). Fantastic shopping! Ohhh and the food court! OMG....

When do you go?

Julie,
Thanks for the information!  I don't know when I go yet.  I know I have been accepted and need to save the funds...that is going to take a while! :(

How much extra money do you need to take?  And for what?  That money has to be saved too.   I know Dr. Pichet says he will take good care of me.
Thanks
Amelia

Currency rate is about 32 Baht to the dollar.
Hotel is $50.00 USD per night. Room service is extra for food.
Street vendors: 2-5 baht for each item (believe me the Octpus on a stick and marinated chicken hearts is worth it!), I never paid more than 30 Baht for a meal ($1.00).

Short silk bathrobes cost me 200 Baht, so I bought a lot of silks! My mother loved hers!

Dont forget the Thai massage for 300 baht an hour... Sigh....

If on a budget, $100 USD is good.
