I just had a veggie burger with lots of veggie bacon on a Hawaiian roll. A little lettuce, some onion, and a touch of mustard and I'm the happiest kid on the block :-D So tasty.

I am conflicted about veggie substitutes for meat.

Sometimes I think, yeah that's healthy.  Other times I say, what's the point?

The 'point' varies from person to person. Most Buddhists can't eat meat, PETA nuts can't either. I personally just like the veggie stuff better than real meat products, regardless of meat/non-meat preference. I'd happily eat this stuff even if I wasn't vegetarian. Its just tastier to me, less grease, better flavor, easier/more convenient. Though, some of it is /less/ healthy than the real stuff. I looked up my bacon product on fooducate, and it got a lower rating than real bacon >.< Oh well :-p
What the hell was that?!                 From every wound there is a scar,
Spaceball 1.                                     and every scar tells a story.
*gasp* They've gone to plaid!        A story that says,
                                                        "I survived."

I have the same sort of feelings about the electronic cigarettes.

I'm not a smoker, personally, but I can't figure out why a smoker would use a "faux ->-bleeped-<-."

I love Zatarain's Dirty Rice Mix.  What is your from scratch recipe?

I browned up 1 lb of hamburger, drained the grease and whistled for the dog, added come butter back to the pan and browned up some smashed ziti and onions then put the meat back in with 2 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup rice, sage, thyme, garlic, black pepper, red pepper, hot sauce, parsley, a beef boullion cube, soy sauce, a pinch of Italian seasoning and a splash of wine. Bring to boil, reduce heat and give it 25 minutes. Hugs, Devlyn

I'm sorry, my brain glitched out at come butter... I know, immature, but so funny :-D Regardless of 'come butter', the recipe sounds pretty tasty. The soy sauce surprised me, though. Sounds interesting.

Back late from fishing, and as the only one caught was undersized; Jalapeno Pizza with Anchovies.
