Extremely sensitive/sore clitoris?

Are there any other Suporn graduates here who experienced extreme sensitivity in their clitoris in the second month post-op?
It's becoming a little debilitating, I can feel it even when I walk and it makes sitting and moving around on my butt quite uncomfortable - to the point of pain.
I'm sure this is fairly normal (nerves reconnecting, etc) but I was wondering if anyone had experienced the same thing and if so, how long it lasted (as I'm back to work next week and I'd like this to have stopped).

I'm a Brassard grad and I've been experiencing the same thing while others haven't.  I've felt what is compared to stopping the circulation of blood at the base of the old equipment(penis).  At first, I was worried that it was going to fall off, but now at three and a half months, everything seems to be getting better.  The pain is gone, although sometimes I feel like I'm walking around with a permanent erection--but that is subsiding as well.  I'm thinking that my discomfort was due to the fact that I asked Brassard to make my clitoris larger thus increasing the healing time and perhaps sensitivity--but it's all going fine now.

That's basically how it feels right now - like I have an erection that won't subside. I also specified that sensation was the top priority, so that's probably why I have the same symptoms.

It'll get better for you too as the swelling goes down.  Right now for me it comes and goes still at almost for months.  Today I barely felt it at all when I went for groceries.  I also find that as the surrounding tissue returns to normal, that tissue tends to put pressure onto the clitoris and erectile tissue and causes some irritation, but that doesn't last long.  The clitoris really starts to swell up when I workout, though, and I find I can't do as much as I want too.  Hang in there, it gets better!

Not to be too silly here about the matter...but maybe its the Phantom Phallus.  I've actually wondered that quite often if it will feel like the penis is still there sometimes, like in those patients who lost and arm or leg and say they can still sometimes feel the arm still there.  Sorry!  I'm just really curious if you ever felt that.

 I am a Pichet graduate. I know the feeling, and it really is uncomfotable.
Ill go for a walk at work and feel it. Makes it uncomfortable to sit at first when I get back to my desk.
Now near the 6 month mark it is subsiding a bit.

It's definitely not the same type of sensitivity i.e. pleasurable.  For me it was difficult to walk, sit and stand let alone rid a bike().  Vexing, I did find it to get better the more I got about over time.  The sensitivity has moved toward the pleasurable side of things.

I hope you don't mind some suggestons from a more medical aspect.

Be sure the colour is pink of perhaps a little red. Also, that it's moist.

Cover the area in a layer of gauze, tightly taped to reduce movement.

If the wounds have healed, try putting some bland barrier cream onto it. Drapolene or similar. Not anything active like healing cream though.

If it is available, ask your pharmisist for lignocane gel. It comes in a tube and will numb nearve ending, temporarily. It is prescription only normally though. But he may suggest an alternative. However, a gauze covering will be essential since you will need to give extra protection.

Try an ice pack. This will also numb the area. But is short term.

And, though it isn't what you want to hear right now, I'd trade places with you in a flash. Good luck girl.

Actually, no.
Phantom sensations come from when something has been removed (hand, leg, arm). If my penis had been severed and thrown away, there may well be phantom sensation, as the traumatised nerve endings 'feel' for what isn't there anymore.
But with SRS, all the nerve endings are preserved and most of the penis tissue recycled, so there will be no phantom sensation.
This is definitely a real feeling of pain/discomfort when my inner labia compress around my clitoris or my underpants press on my clitoris.

Good suggestions, will try a couple and see how I go

I really don't think that numbing the area would be advisable.  The pain is a good indicator that you are not going to tear anything down there--remember there is something,sutures perhaps, holding everything together inside.  This is something you are just going to have to work through.  If it hurts then it's your body's way of telling you to slow down.

That is an excellent point. I should have though of it.

I did get the impression that Vexing's clitoris is being irritated by clothing and such. But if the wounds have not fully healed, then lignocane might not be advisable, if it is available at all.

But there is no reason not to use a ice pack. This could be in the home, while relaxing. And a bland barrier, shouldn't cause any problems. Though you wouldn't put it on the wounds themselves, of course.

One thing I also should have sid. These bland barriers are sometimes sold in tubs or tubes. They have  tendency to harbour germs in the tub version. So, try to buy a tube and make sure you wash your hands before using.

Well FWIW mine subsided around the third month, although, like I said previously, it sometimes irritates me a bit.  You're getting close to the end, just bite the bullet.  You can do it.  I guarantee that one day you will wake up and not even think about it then, sometime throughout the day, you'll realize that the pain and discomfort are gone.  Just think of it as one of our "rights of passage".  Also, one thing to point out--I think it's a good idea to explore beneath the hooding too.  Pull the inner labia apart and examine the area where your clitoris is situated to make sure all is good down there.  I bring this up because my surgery partner--the girl who had surgery the same day I did in Montreal--discovered that skin had grown over her clitoris about three months in.  Not something nice to discover on your way to recovery.  I asked her if she had lubrication in that area as Dr. Brassard uses mucosal tissue to construct the hooding--she was unaware if she had or hadn't.

I had a good explore after my dilation this morning and the hood and the labia are all pink, healthy and separate from the clit.
There's a very minor improvement this morning, sitting isn't causing as much discomfort. Hopefully this continues to improve.
