I'm pre-T but still pretty hairy, so I figured I'd let my facial hair grow out this weekend and see what's what with it.  Anyways, I noticed that I pretty much have a full beard's coverage except for the area right under and slightly back from my chin.  This seems like a strange spot to have no hair, but maybe it'll fill in when I go on T.  Do you guys have hair there?

I'm pre-T, and also kinda hairy. I don't have a full beard coverage though, and the only noticeable hair I have is a little moustache and teenytiny sideboards. I've noticed some dark hairs under my chin and in the area where the neck-beard is before but they are barely noticeable, and generally few and far between. It's probably normal to have some kind of patchiness, since you're pre-T.

Hey Lee - I started out with very little hair in general so it has been slow going - I've been on T for 8 months now and I have a similar spot that seems to be resistant to sprouting. My chin is getting the darker hairs in and then further back and starting to head down my neck is getting them but there is like a crescent area just past my chin that is being stubborn. From what I have seen with friends, everyone's grows in a little different. One of my buds had a full beard at 6 months but for the life of him can't get a mustache or flavor savor to grow in after a year+ on T. But if you have noticeable hair pre-T it is likely that area won't be as obvious once your beard starts filling out.

Me too, but 15 months on T.

I have a thyroid problem, so I'm abnormally hairy for a female. I've always had lots of hair on my legs, arms, and face.

Aside from my mysophobia sometimes getting in my way and making me want to shave, I'm fine with my body hair. I have never wanted facial hair though, it's not my style, but I do have it so.. Why bother?

A lot of my hairiness is really concentrated on my body rather than my face, so my face isn't that hairy in comparison. I do shave off the moustache I get because it gets kind of noticeable after about 4 days and I'm not a fan of it (and since most people seem to see me as female I think it's be kind of awkward), though it's definitely something I would try on T, and I'd also like some chin scruff at some point. I'm not too bothered about facial hair right now.
I really like how impressive my arm-pits are though.

I'm M2F and can say that a lot of males have patchy areas. Myself included. Very few guys can grow out the classic full beard.

In other words... Don't feel bad about it DUDE!

My brother (cisguy) has some spots that just never grow in, including the one you mentioned. So no sweat! :D

The area right underneath my chin, front and center, was one of the last places to fill in for me.  The areas on the sides of my chin, right next to that bare patch, are some of my thickest+darkest areas of facial hair.  But yeah, that one patch, along with my mustache, came in last.  But it did fill in eventually!  I just trimmed my beard on either side of that bare patch but left the hairs there to grow so it looked like it was all about even and the same thickness.

I'm glad to hear that it might grow in.  It's not exactly a big deal, but I feel a bit odd having a bald spot.

My brother has less hair there too.  He also has a scar there (in the shape of a smiley face none the less), so I'm not sure if it's genetics or because of that.

Hi fellow Lee!

I have been on T for years....I have full beard coverage....after 3 days I have that 'designer stubble' look but four days and its razor time. Strangely enough...the hair above my top lip is the slowest to grow....

I have the same bald spot - middle of chin. It's annoying, because I can grow enough scruff on both sides to look deliberate. I hope it fills in soon!

I'm getting facial hair on T but it's all under my chin/jawline. I'm still patiently waiting for some of it to decide to grow in on my actual face!

I have a patch on my chin that grows a number of thick, coarse, beard-like hairs. It's really pretty gross.
I have peach fuzz that grows all over my face, and thin hairs that grow along my side burns, chin, and upper lip. I shave it all. Better to look like a clean-shaven dude than a chick with facial hair.
