American satire is not really directed at those of us outside the States. But I wonder if we might be taking this a little too seriously.
Is it really likely to have an effect upon the impressions of Americans?
The UK is a very class structured society, so the only satire that tends to be broadcast is aimed at middle class types. Working class satire tends to be concentrated on private clubs and occasionally theatres. But frequently, some people try to draw offense, especially when it might be directed at holy cow issues.
Satire seems to be part of European culture. I'm sure other cultures have it as well.
In the case of this, one look at those people featured. I doubt any transwomen would ever present themselves like that.
