Can using this as a binder cause harm??

Yes. I've heard all different stories, including broken ribs. I suggest not using one for prolonged time periods!

Ok the thing about ace bandages is that they become tighter every time they're stretched and then relaxed. That means that when you move or take a deep breath, it could get harder to breathe while you're wearing them. In the long term it can weaken your chest muscles and warp your ribcage, making it hard to breathe even when you're not wearing the bandages. So No I would not recommend them because of the long term damage they can cause.
