T and face changes

I've heard 2 different things and I'm not sure what one is right... once my face changes on T, (like the widening of the jaw and whatever other changes to make my face look male) and then I decide to stop taking T, will my face change back to how it looked before I took T? Some people have said your face will stay the same after getting off T and others said it will change back to how you looked pre T. Now, I'm not exactly sure what pre -T means. I've heard these term before, but I don't know what they mean.

I'm not sure if I plan on taking T the rest of my life. I just want to get some of the changes.  I wanna be able to still look male and have a deep voice and then be able to stop T and still have a masculine look. Is that possible?

At your age, it's highly unlikely that T will produce any real changes in bone structure, but it will re-distribute the fat, and that might revert were you to quit.

Really? I thought T was supposed to widen your jaw and give you a masculine look? But T will only do this if your at a certain age? Like once your past a certain age nothing happens in the face?

Pre-T means before taking testosterone. I suggest you watch videos by MeikoEliasXavier on youtube - he started testosterone, used it for a while, stopped for a while, then started again. I must say that his face looks more masculine now than it did when he was off T, but it didn't look completely feminine then either. He does talk about which changes are permanent and which aren't, so definitely see his take on it. In general, if your facial bone structure is changed on T, that wouldn't change back if you stop taking T, but the fat redistribution definitely goes back to a female-pattern (i.e. a softer/rounder face).

You would definitely keep the masculine voice, but many of the other things would go back to being more female-like. Not all things. But many.

Thanks. I've seen his videos. I just wanted to still look male in the face and pass as male still when I stop taking T.

There are two or three components of the face that change on T: fat redistribution, texture change, and hair thickening. Facial hair might get thinner over time being off T, but you might end up with a lot of longish peach fuzz. Skin tends to get oily on T and if you stop it will most likely get less oily, and if you had a lot of pimples on T then that would go away but the marks and scars from going on T won't go away. I think that over time the fat on the face would redistribute to something more feminine after stopping T, but I could be wrong.

All of this also depends on how long you're on testosterone. A person that has been on T for 3 years or 5 years won't have much change if they were to stop taking T but somebody that has been on it for maybe one year might go back.

what do you mean by marks and scars? Are you talking about acne marks and scars?

So if I decide to be on T for like 3 years and then stop... I won't look how I did pre-T? I'll still  look male after I stop T? But at 1 year of T I might go back to looking how I did pre-T?

Yep, acne marks and scars.

If you're on T for 3 years and have significant changes you won't really change back much. I can't say if you will or won't look male after stopping T. It's likely that you'll look ambiguously gendered if you stop at a year. A friend of mine stopped after about a year and a half. Zie had some facial changes on T, some facial hair but not much in the way of changes.

It's not bones changing.  It's fat redistribution and muscle development.

ambiguously gendered will be like some people look at you and see a man and some people look at you and see a woman.

If you start T you will eventually look male but it takes time, some people get great changes quickly and some people get great changes but it takes years. 


Also keep in mind nothing is certain.  Your body chemistry is different from everyone else, so they can give you and idea of what might be but it won't be certain.

Ambiguously gendered...kinda androgynous.

Zie (not he) didn't intend on or focus on passing after stopping T so I can't really say.

Bone structure doesn't change, facial fat redistribution does change.

You really need to go out there and do actual research instead of asking a bunch of random people over and over again.  It depends on a lot of things.  Your face may thin, it may beef up.  It's different for everyone so one one can tell you for certain what is going to happen to you personally.

I thought this was a place to get some answers? Am I wrong? How was I asking the same question over and over again? I never asked about my face thinning out or getting fat while on T. I ask before if I would gain weight or lose weight on T. I don't remember asking a bunch of question about whether or not my face would get fat or thin up. In fact, I don't remember at all asking question about whether my face would get fat or thin out.

Not the same question really.  Bad wording on my part but this whole thread the questions you ask is like you expect other people to be able to tell you what exactly your face will do with regards to T.  Yeah they can tell you what their faces/bods did on T or what happened to their friends but you seem to be fishing for what exactly will happen to you and it's just not possible to tell for sure.

This whole thread was about if I would look male in the face after stop taking T, and then I throw in at the end if my face would thin out or get fat on T.

Yeah I already agreed not the same question just bad wording on my part. 

Is english your first language?  Because what I'm saying is we meaning me, and any other people who are on testosterone, cannot tell you with certainty, what changes will occur to your face once you start T, my changes have not been the same as other peoples.  No one changes the same. 
The questions you ask show me that you have not researched the effects of testosterone on a FTM extensively enough.

I understand that. I was responding to what you said after that. I  was explaining myself, b/c I felt I had to,  and yes, English is my first language.

My thinking in research was, what better way to get the best answers  then people who are on T and getting changes and see what effects they are getting from T.  Maybe it was stupid on my part to get answers from people who are on T, to know some of  common side effects in people who are taking T.

yeah but instead of saying "what happened to your face/ someone you know's face" you keep going "will this/this/this happen to my face" as if we can know with some certainty what will happen to your face and it was just irking me.
