I love Japanese and German music. I prefer listening to music in those languages instead of English music. I just love how the words sound. <3

Some of my favorite bands are D'espairsRay, DEATHGAZE, Megaherz, and Rammstein. I also adore Meiko Kaji. <3 Enka music is so beautiful and relaxing. :)

No... things don't really get banned in the US (not in most states, anyway).  There's just a mutual consensus in the mass media that if something makes people think, it doesn't get exposure.

Imagined so, Zoe.

It's getting like that most places unfortunately.

some more queens than others

they say things that suprises

I'm kind of an otaku (though I think we've been relegated to being called weeaboos nowadays).  I like a lot of Japanese soundtracks with a classical and/or electronic feel, stuff from Yoko Kanno, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yuu Miyake, Zuntata, & ZUN.  I also like some Japanese pop and rock, like The Pillows, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and School Food Punishment and some Spanish & Mexican rock, like Second, Cafe Tacuba, & Chikita Violenta.

Ultimate sixties style icon Francoise Hardy, probably her best song:

That song's cute. When I think of French songs from the 60's I just think of France Gall.

French sixties music was surprisingly good, France Gall, Dalida, Sheila, Francoise Hardy, Sylvie Vartan, Jaques Dutronc, Jacqueline Taieb (sorry for the lack of accents this is a weird Italian keyboard). Here's Dalida who was tri-lingual in Italian, Arabic and French singing with Patty Pravo.

I like foreign music although I don't understand it.  This especially holds true for music in animes.
