I don't know why I embarrass myself like this but.....
Well I got home and it was dark and we have had stories in the local press about a 'peeping tom'.
So I get home and see someone looking into my lounge room window, so I go straight to my bedroom, avoiding the lounge without turning on any lights, and call the police. (I have to say that as me I am a lot more cautious than he ever was.)
So the police come hurtling over with no sirens so they could catch the guy. Go straight to the back garden and arrest.....
my mop which was leaning against the window :embarrassed:
They were very nice about it and they were still laughing when they left :embarrassed: :embarrassed:
I always wondered about those mops and their peepers. I have a few in my closet at work. What would they do if I didn't lock them up when I went home.
Sorry that one escaped and got to you, Cindy.
Oh my God!! Haha. That's like one of those jokes you read about in the funnies. :P Good job Cindy.
Yeah. That has happened to me plenty of times. Especially after scary movies. Every shadow ends up looking like either a killer or some weird monster, coming to eat me. The mind is like that. It sees what we expect it to see. Don't worry. It happens to even the best of us. Hey, at least you all got a good laugh. *hugs*
When are the firemen due back out again? :D
LOL, I seem to remember something about that.
You lot are so inconsiderate!
Anyone could have these little incidents!
Perfectly normal. And I like men in uniform ::)
Mmmm I haven't had the SES guys around yet (State Emergency Service)

If I see a jaguar in a policeman's uniform I will be very suspicious.
Are you being discriminatory towards us KATS? We really are very good at wearing a uniform.

Cindy, how do you feel about lifeguards at the beach? I bet you are not a proficient swimmer, who make need saving from time to time.

Tried that!
Did I forget to tell?
They sent out female lifesavers.
They got me ashore and I asked for a breathing tube.
When they asked what that was I said 'What he has in his budgie smugglers'
I got banned from the beach - no sense of humour, no concern. Hmmm.
Change my spots? Never!! Disguise them now and then, that I can do. Especially when it makes rescuing a damsel in distress...tempting.
QuoteMmm muscle, brawn and a big weapon!
Yup, that is me! (especially the ..ahem big weapon.)
Cindy, it sounds as if you planned on an entirely different sort of resuscitation! ;)

I can send a good old bureaucratic orderly german police officer to you, if you like. They are quite a weird bunch. They'll do anything for money, or so i've heard. Even fly over to Australia.

Can they fly with their truncheons?

Maybe if you pay them enough. They are so corrupt, they'll do anything, even if it is against the laws of physics. They'll even make a criminal out of someone who just got beaten up.
OK this is a thread for a good laugh, which a few of us need.

OK but I'm here for you, as all the staff are.
When are you going?
What does it involve?
Want to tell me?
next month for at least 3 weeks. The first few months flashbacks were frequent. It's all mostly in the background, but seriously affecting my mood (i'm often in a very foul mood now) and i need constant accompainment where it happened.
I know lots about flash backs!
I hate them

IS CAT NOW!
Heee Heee
Always wanted to be a cat!
You?
a dog.
I've had three dogs, I most remember Lady, she wasn't! We took her all around Australia in a caravan.
Do you have a dog?
Oh, yeah.
She's quite something, my little princess, who does not behave like a princess, except that normal dog food is not good enough for "milady". "milady" wants noodles and rice and meat. We often mix some of that together with her food. She is quite healthy and not fat, so it's ok. I took her for a walk through the forest.
Oh, Emma, you crazy little dog.

I'm a happy slave. I don't mind being a servant to my furry lady. She is a good master and rewards me with kisses. I give her food, she gives me love and gratitude.
Dogs and cats are our overlords, if only we knew it.

Where do you walk her?
What breed is she
labrador crossbreed (there might be a border collie in there somewhere, she looks almost completely labrador, but acts almost completely like a border collie).
I usually walk her through our town, but sometimes (like today) through the forest.

OK who else has had an embarrassing experience in this sort of situation?
No doubt my list of the Fire brigade - twice for setting microwaves on fire, police to arrest a mop, and a few situations I'd better keep to myself :embarrassed: could cause some comment
But how about you!!
I got trapped in a booth type thing by a dog once. It was a very friendly dog, or so it turned out.
When I was member of gliding club a glider landed and we waited for ages for the pilot, a japanese guy, to come to the club. He didn't arrive so a rescue group went out. he was still in his cockpit, terrified to get out as there were kangaroos and wallabies around him! Fierce critters!!
This has been all too funny Cindy. It did bring a smile to my face.
Please feel free to share your trials and tribulations.
I can't say I have any stories to add but glad the mop was released without charge.
And no harm came to our Cindy.
