Whew, ok, I feel so relieved.
I had my first appointment today and I really wasn't quite sure what I was expecting but it went really well.
It was all very clear that the reason I was there was to get a referral letter to start HRT,   but we also sorted out a short list of topics which I think will actually be really helpful to discuss (being a parent and trans is a big one).
My therapist also said that they don't do a three month waiting period for a referral letter, just an informed consent basis so I should be able to start HRT by the end of the year!
Suffice to say, I am very happy right now
