Lady Autumn

Hello Everyone

My name is Autumn, I'm 20 years old, I'm new here and new to this world. Nobody I know really knows that I am a woman. Most of my friends know I'm a cross-dresser but few know that I feel like a woman. My world is confusing, most of the stories I hear are people saying: "I always knew I was female," "I was never happy before I came out." It wasn't like that for me. There was a time when I was just "Doug" and comfortable being a gay man. But then something just happened. For a while Doug was a very happy person and nothing felt wrong. But I felt more liberated dressed as a woman and something about it touched my heart. I wanted to be this way all the time.
I know I don't want genital surgery. I feel that that my genitals are private for me and my fiancé so it doesn't matter what they look like. I want hormones some day and my own boobs, so no implants!

I joined this site to meet new people and hear peoples stories so I can know if I'm doing the right thing.

Hi Autumn, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8673 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hi Autumn,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in and start talking.

Although you may be thinking you haven't traveled the same road as many of us, Autumn, you are certainly progressing in a similar manner. Hopefully that may reduce the confusion a bit. For some of us, it's a journey, for others, it's an evolution, for others, it always was.

We are all pretty friendly and helpful here, but on a limited basis. We generally only see snap shots of each other as we attempt to make sense of our world. If would prefer to expedite your state of confusion to enlightenment, perhaps seeking a therapist who is conversant with Transgender issue could be more beneficial.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hey there Autumn.  Welcome from southern California.

You will be able to find a lot of information here.  And you might want to have your loving and supportive fiance consider browsing the "Significant Other" board.

Hi is without a doubt loving and supportive but I don't know if he should yet. I'm a little worried about what he'd find, not that there is anything on this site people should be ashamed of,  I'm just a little nervous of talking to him about this stuff. Its getting better with time though and I am sure that one day he will.

Hi and welcome from another of the Aussie girls.
You are not alone in how things worked out.  As a teenager I just thought I was weird, and for a while before the penny dropped that I might have been bi or a feminine gay guy.  It took a total breakdown to shake things up enough for the truth to come out.
I am sure you will find a lot of useful info here, and it is good to hear that you have a partner who you can look to for support.

Thanks for the kind words. :) I've already discovered a lot about myself by using this site. Sometimes its hard for me to explain how i came to the conclusion that I was a woman, but I suppose it isn't easy for anyone.

My partner and I used to just be really good friends. He was always someone I could talk to about anything, so when I knew that I had to change my life and live as a woman he was the first person I came to. He was so supportive and so happy for me! To me it was inevitable that we would end up together. He is so wonderful and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else.

Much Love
Autumn

Hi Autumn, it's nice to meet you! I am a crossdresser, I don't have plans to transition. But I have been well warned by my friends here that sometimes plans change. We all accept each other and our different approaches. Welcome aboard! Hugs, Devlyn

I haven't been here for very long but I am blown away by how nice everyone is :3 I am terrified about what's to come but I feel a lot better knowing that I can have questions answered if I simply start a thread about it!
