I've been thinking about getting both tattoos and piercings, but have yet to follow through with them because I don't have the money to fund them yet. (and I need to build up some more courage )

I'd like to start with several more piercings in each ear, one would be a piercing near the top of my ear in the cartilage, and the others would be starting at the bottom of my lobe above my current piercings (I had one in each ear on the lobe when i was 12) and would extend up the lobe probably stopping where the cartilage starts. Other piercings may include an eyebrow piercings or a labret piercing.(center of my lower lip) I don't plan on and probably never will go below my head for any piercings.

As for tattoos, I want at least one to me a tattoo of my own design. I like to make designs in photoshop that are similar to a lot of the "tribal" tattoos you see, except that most all of mine are symmetrical. Another design I'm really considering is an armband tattoo around my bicep that would be some sort of celtic knotwork. I'm really fascinated by the knotwork and anything celtic in general.

Other possible tattoo designs may include wolves, cats, dragons, the taurus/bull symbol, or some sort of tattoo to symbolize one of my favorite bands of all-time; Rammstein.

Those probably all seem pretty adrogynic to me, since both sexes seem to get equal piercings/tattoos of those kind, except for the wolves. I don't think I've seen many women with wolf tattoos. They seem to be isolated to men in my experience.

Over the years I had heard all the horror stories about tattoos. So I went to the tattoo parlour with some apprehention, but found that after the artist had started, there wasn't much pain involved.

I've seen some GG's with the peircing that you're talking about. Personally I think it's too many, but that's my opinion. I had my ears pierced when I was 16.

I got at tattoo when I was 18 and trying to show the world that I was 'male' even though inside I was female. What I joke. I now hate it.  A masculine tattoo on a feminine body just don't look right. I'm about to have laser treatment to remove it.

No tatoos. Won't get any. They're just not for me.

I know a woman with a wolf tattoo.

I understand, from my tattooist, that the most common tattoos are on women, and are of dolphins or roses, and that the second most common tattoos are cover-ups of dolphins or roses on women who've come to realise that their dolphins and roses are pretty trite.

Years ago I thought about getting a tattoo, maybe some sort of ankle bracelet looking design, then I found out that the ankle is among the most painful spots. I'm a total wimp when it comes to pain, so I still don't have any tattoos. Maybe someday though.

Yeah, bony spots are supposed to hurt more. The classic 'boy's first tattoo' spot (the upper arm, distal) is supposed to hurt the least.

In my experience, it doesn't really hurt. It feels warm. And kinda pleasant. And it makes you feel happy and excited, from adrenaline or something. I like it, and want more tattoos just for the experience of getting tattooed.

I will be acquiring a variant of the 'Special Forces' tattoo.

I have no tattoos, no plans to ever get one, and I do not find them attractive on either men or women.  Tattoos and piercings seem to be much more popular among younger people.  For people of my generation tattoos will always be associated with sailors and prison inmates.

Lol. Well I have no problem with whatever kind of tattoo anyone wants to get, whether its cute like a rose or more gruesome like something else.

I guess it just has to do with where I live (and the limited amount of places I've been to). I don't see many women around here with tattoos to begin with, unless they belong to the classic "biker" steroetype, or they're of the younger generation (like me).

I did know that bony spots hurt more but that was mostly from several friends of mine who have gotten tattoos and actually talking to someone who is a tattooist. My first tattoo will probably be on my upper arm. Still thinking about all of it though, nothing is really decided except that I do want at least one.

A lot of people usually tell me there is'nt much pain to begin with but of course it all depends on the individual and their pain tolerance (I feel like mine is pretty high but I don't have a way to compare).

Which piercing do you mean, the labret? I think they can look alright depending on the person, but if I do get my labret it will be after I've had other piercings and/or tattoos; it would probably be a mistake if I made it my first one.

I want some sort of crescent design just underneath my left deltoid.  I think it would be small text saying something along the lines of "Panton sum est vestri."  Which means "Everything I am is yours."  Its my pledge to God that no matter what, I belong to him.

My tattoos are pretty big. One of them you partly see on my pic. They al have something to do with a period in my life and they mean a lot to me. They represent strength and growth.
The one you see is also about being androgyn, and about contradictions being one. Yin-Yang, made into my own symbol.  I can't imagine not having them!
