Michelle, I'm so jealous of you... It sucks being a post-punk sort of fellow when you were born too late. However, it makes gigs a more pleasant experience since everyone there is at least 30+ and will thus have mellowed out a bit and acting more mature than younger people.

Having your father accompany you to concerts (we like the same kind of music and he likes spending time with me this way) can lead to some awkward moments, such as when we'd both been checking out the same person.

I definitely grew up in a good time period for music. There was a ton going on all the time. One week of shows that sticks out in my mind is Guns and Roses on a Wednesday or Thursday, The Cramps on Saturday and The Ramones on Sunday. All at the same club that held about 500 people.

Not many, to be honest.
But the ones I've been to were amazing.

MUCC @ Tavastia, Helsinki (Finland) March 20, 2007
MUCC @ Provinssirock '07 (Seinäjoki, Finland)
Poets of the Fall @ Rytmikorjaamo (Seinäjoki, Finland) April 17, 2010

...That's about it. :I
But my long living dream has been to see Metallica live. Actually, I share that dream with my Mom. Maybe one day we'll go to their concert together and go crazy. ;D

I've been to two concerts, both in 2011. However, I'd say I'm satisfied.

The first concert was Streetlight Manifesto. They came to my city and the concert only costed $15! I bought my friend who introduced me to the band a ticket and we went together. They are now my favorite modern band. Because I love wind instruments, that's why. Lol.

Later in the year I got to see Chicago, which is my favorite older band. They are my favorite band altogether, actually. I was a little concerned that they would play mostly their new stuff, which I don't listen to. However, 90% of the show was their classics, and I mean 60s/70s classics with some 80s thrown in. Which meant I loved it because 60s/70s Chicago is my favorite!

I've only been to two concerts. The first one I went to was Bloc Party and Long Wave almost 4 years ago. Then last June I saw Iron Maiden & Alice Cooper. So I'm still a concert newbie.  :-\

Pretty much the whole reason I want to go to Japan is to see the various bands that only tour over there or in Europe.  I have to see Miyavi and Dir en Grey before I die.
Dir en grey does tour in the U.S. I've been to 15 of their shows. They are amazing live.

Will list more later - we're about to go shopping  :eusa_boohoo: !

But we are in Dallas now to see a show tomorrow - Cowboy Mouth (they have a fairly small, but loyal, following: awesome live show... pretty lame on the vinyl...).
I ain't scared... I just don't want to mess up my hair.

I thought I posted this the other day, but I don't see it so,

I will be going to an Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss orchestra in March (I saw them once before about 5 years ago)

I have been to several Orchestra concerts before, but have never gone to see rock concerts (too loud for me).
Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;
Tis the wind and nothing more!;  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore!!"

Michelle666  and emilyglass...  you totally rock.  Like totally.

I bounced the stage for Blondie and Lou Reed.  That was fun.
Body... meet brain.  Now follow her lead and there will be no more trouble, you dig?

As a Paramedic I have worked and been at almost every concert (of all types) in our city. So great to get PAID to go to a concert. I was fortunate to meet quite a few personalities.  :)

Yeah it is great to get paid for the best seats.  :)
