Longest Lurker League! I had a short lurking period because I have an addictive personality. I got sucked right in. Some of you, however, peer through the windows for amazing periods of time before joining! Confessions, please, how long did you lurk? And you! Yes, you, I can see you! Join this site right now and tell us how long you've been warching us! Hugs, Devlyn

I first ran across Susan's Place in early spring of 2010, but seriously started researching things in early 2011.  I started talking to a general therapist about gender issues in late spring 2011, started low dose HRT in September 2011, and officially joined in November 2011.

My lurking duration was about 18 months +/-

Like Vishnu I have come in many incarnations since 2009. Having to change my avatar was not a choice but a necessity.

I have been a long time member, about 2008.  I have one recantation after a brief hiatus.  I was the Links Admin before Flan.

When I join I lurked for about a week.

I don't recall. I lurked, joined as Beth Andrea, got wildly depressed, deleted every post except maybe 5, requested and got deleted....came back in a couple weeks, re-registered as Beth Andrea again, and have fought several urges to delete myself again.

I do have the patience to delete everything again, even with 1400ish posts...but I'm happy here now. It's like home to me.

It's so cute that Beth thinks we'd let her quit! Hugs, Devlyn

Shamed to say I started looking about a year ago...  lots of ups and downs.  I just joined and I'm looking forward to a long road with several thousand of my closest sisters.... I've finally found some...

Peace - Holly

Oh, I don't know about that...I have a good job, on my journey for completion, have friends now... ;)

Fortunately, as Holly P said, there's several thousand of our sisters here on Susan's...and they're easy to have on this path, because they only weigh as much as a smart phone!  ^-^

My story is somewhat similar. I think I lurked for about a day or so.

Oh wow! I think I became aware of SP in the late 90s early aughts.

I joined up straight away in a time in my life I was determined to transition, then I chickened out and when one of those purges came around I blocked my account, erased my email alias and everything else.

I've been lurking periodically ever since and decided to join up again this year and just only recently started posting last week.

Call me Ms. Lurker from now on.

I lurked on and off for a year or so. But it was very infrequent. That changed a few months ago when I needed to hunker down and choose my surgeon. I was really impressed with the quality of discussion here and so decided it was time to come out of the lurker's closet. This community has helped us, so the least I can do is participate.

Cats are the cutest; even if they look like they are up to no good. ;)

I've been lurking off and on for a month or so, and now, here I am!
Not changed nor hidden - just a fluid movement.

I found the site when I started my transition back in November 2010. I looked at it infrequently before I joined in April 2011. I've deleted a ton of my posts (a few hundred) at various times for various reasons (I has trust issues~), I've put my account up for deletion twice (rejected both times), and I've taken a few extended breaks but I've never actually succeeded in leaving somehow...

I joined the second I found the site.

I have been known to be compulsive.

I think I'll go to work as me. 'Yep high heel boots and a mini, that should be noticed'. It was.

I found the website 2 years ago while on a work break and lurked on and off for about 18 months before I joined up in July this year after I had amassed enough information on every member to be used at a later date against them....
By the way if anything happens to me the information I have..... >:-)

Seriously though, I am happy I did join but it took much courage to come out to myself. So far it's been one of the most liberating experiences of my life to talk about who I am.

My cat would be hunting toilet rolls not celery! For some reason he used to shred them every night. He showed no mercy to them sinking his fangs deep into them.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Our security is pretty good and the Mods and Admin are tight on it but remember it is your responsibility to protect yourself.

If in doubt don't post details
