I just wanted to share some info about bras from a male perspective that may help some of you out when choosing one that's right for you.

First off there's a difference in the frames of men and women, so when considering your bra and cup size, you have to realize that men have broader chests, so your breasts tend to be wider than a woman's.  This can be good and bad... bad because bras are not going to sit quite right on the male body, but good because it gives you a different way to fit comfortably into a larger cup bra.

I started out wearing a B cup as a teenager, and I didn't fill the cups out very well at all, I thought this was as good a fit as I could expect since I didn't have the hardware to fill a bra with.  It wasn't till I was fitted for a bra that I found out, I didn't need a smaller cup, I needed a bigger one!  I started wearing larger cups, and the fit got better and better.  I am currently sitting here wearing a DD cup and filling it out completely.

Even though I don't have the hardware to fill the cups up straight out, because I have a broad chest, what I don't fill into the cup depth wise, I can fill in breadth wise.

Also I would recommend getting underwire bras, they help take what you have and funnel it more into a feminine shape.

Aside from that my own personal preference is for the wide backs and comfort straps... I wear bras full time and it's become sort of a utilitarian item of clothing for me.  Pretty and lacey are rarely comfy and cozy.  Usually you can find the large comfy bras in pink and they will invariably have a little bow between the cups, but if you're looking for comfort that's about as frilly as you can expect.

So far my favorite bras are fruit of the loom and Calvin Klien. I have some underwires by both that are a nice soft material. I also have a ck lacy push up, but the lace makes my nipples itchy.

I know, right?  I find that the prettier a bra is, the less comfortable it is... fabrics like lace and all sorts of fancy embroidery are lovely to behold but rough and itchy to wear.  The way I figure, since I'm wearing it for me, comfort is more more important than fashion.  When I shop for a bra, it's from the perspective that this is something I'm going to wear maybe 20+ hours per day, so it better sit well on my frame, have comfortable wide back, not dig in anywhere, not ride up... lots of considerations.

How the bra looks is secondary, I typically choose pink because it's the color associated to women, though when I think about it, I feel kind of silly taking that extra step to accentuate the femininity of my bra... it's already a *bra*.  When I reach for a bra while getting dressed, I automatically go for the comfortable ones with excellent support... rarely do I reach for the slightly uncomfortable ones with the pretty embroidery that push my breasts up and make me look a good deal bustier.

My current favorite (Which I own about 15 of) is a seamless cup underwire... I haven't been bra shopping in a long time, I tend to find something that works and stick to it till I outgrow it or it gets discontinued.  If you're looking for a good utilitarian bra that you can wear all day and sleep in all night, I highly recommend this one:

When using breastforms (mine weight 750g each) I have found out that the best bras are not only underwire (definitely required for breastforms!) but with a wide elastic band underneath — that way, the underwires will not "dig in" the chest tissue, which can be painful after many hours of wear, and it will also provide much better support for the forms.

Some might say that I'm wearing the wrong kind of bras altogether :) I might agree with them... still, this is the little tip of advice I have on this issue.
Don't judge, and you won't be judged.
