Hi All

After reading some very interesting threads. and much deliberation, I finally decided to register.

My past in brief :-

• Started HRT at 26
• Transitioned at 27
• SRS at 30
• Stealth (so I found out after a lot of research) for the best part of the last 17 years
• Glad to now discover that T issues are alive and well on the internet 
• Living in (sometimes) sunny Qld

Hoping I can at least contribute something back to the T community online after all this time underground.

Well we have quite a group of Aussie girls (and guys) here and we do get together, so next time you are in Adelaide let me know and we can organise dinner. Kelly lives in Adelaide and we go out now and again. Karen has been across and Catherine Sarah keeps threatening but I keep changing my address to fool her (Ahh we joke around a bit BTW). Next Hols I intend going to Sydney to catch up with some of the gang. Jenny hopes she can organise herself from Canberra at the same time.

I keep wanting to organise a BBQ at my place but so far too difficult for people to get organised.

I recently caught up with some members of the support group that helped me many years ago.  It was great to catch up with them, but I was surprised how nervous I was to meet T people again

Hi Belle, well it seems that a few of us have appeared suddenly out of nowhere Disappearing is fine, but after a while I get curious. Who else made it? Where are all the other trans people, because I'm not seeing them. I'm also thinking that after being out of touch with the community, my t-dar (sort of like gaydar) doesn't work anymore. In some ways I think it's good, because it means we are all integrating and disappearing into the world. It's also sad because it mean we are complete people and yet isolated as well.

At my job I am somewhat of a mentor, helping out other people to advance their careers. There is nothing more fufilling than being able to pass it down and give someone else a shot. It's too bad we don't do something like that for our own community. I'd love to see other successful t people out there in the world. Maybe they are there (like myself for example) and I just don't know it. I do know one thing. One of the ts successe listed on Lynn Conways web site works at my company but a different office. The sad part is, I have been working here for 5 years and never made contact, not even once. They even have a LGBT colleague resource group and I didn't join that either. I don't know what I'm afraid of, discovery, potenial loss of income. I figure  they have the resource group so it's safe. But you know how the buzz goes. Once the secret is out of the box, it can never be put back in. So I have to keep away for my own future and career.

Another big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources (not that you'd be needing those now) and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and telling us what we need to know about the "Other Side."  You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

In support of Jenny, I'm an east coast beach hugger as well. Avoca to be precise. So if you're ever in the area, be sure to let me know and we'll get a bite to eat.

Thanks Catherine.  I'm in a rather large town in South East Qld, so just up the road really.  I'll tell more of my story in the fullness of time, bits here and there.  It's nothing extraordinary.  But I might put in my 2 cents here and there.

My post  to Belle was saying welcome from all the Aussie girls and the Tassie's would be here soon but Karen and Andrea are busy practising inbreeding.

I had some bad insults - read great witty comments; to several people that may have not been posted.

Belle you have to forgive the Tassie's, it is warm in Qld  so you can venture out.

Tassie's live in caves and under large rugs made from the skins of marsupials, strung together with sinew from croweaters.

Strange mob but delightful in a primitive way.
