Have your interests changed?

For those of you who have been on HRT for an extendend period, what changes in your interests have you seen?  Consider the question wide open, I'm not going to define "interests".  ;D

I don't think HRT has directly influenced my interests. I still like videogames, foreign languages, piano, books, animals, movies, writing... Pretty much everything I used to. I do think, though, that living more and more as a woman has changed the way I spend my time in a few regards. I'm far happier and more confident now, so I seek the company of others and socialise a lot more, I take a far greater interest in clothes, accessories and my general appearance because now I actually feel able to present myself in a way I like, and, on the more negative side of things, I've started to shun singing in front of others, as while I used to love it, I don't feel confident enough in my voice yet. :/

Oh, and I tend to notice boys a lot more now. ^^ While I always loved romantic novels and movies, I used to be revolted by the thought of myself being involved in anything of the sort, and took no notice of either boys or girls. Now, though... I can't say if it's something chemical or simply my starting to not hate my body quite as much, but I've found myself having silly little crushes on people for pretty much the first time in my life. It's actually fairly unwelcome, as I doubt I'd be able to even consider having a relationship with anyone for another five years or so, but it's definitely there.

Of course this is assuming that I, at four months, fall under the "extended period" you describe. :'D

No thanks G-d. I love bikes (motorbikes for the UK crowd), martial arts, rock climbing, scuba diving, guns, cooking, dancing, singing.  I also love to watch: football, nascar, sci-fi movies, ice skating,

So, while my interest have not changed, I have become more feminine in my mind, that is to the dismay of the feminazis

I still like classic bikes and cars(new ones don't interest me much) but I rediscovered my interest in wildlife and nature and developed an interest in art I learned how to cook and enjoy it and like local history.I check out the boys a lot more than before and still check out the girls.

My interests are mostly the same, and it isn't likely that the changes I have seen are a result of HRT.

I have lost a lot of interest in video games, for example. They just aren't as immersive as they used to be, from my point of view. I have also developed an interest in more physical activities, and I am less opposed to careers lacking in science and research. It's just a change of preferences, as is natural over time.

I don't think hormones themselves change interests. But abandoning the fake persona (if you had one) and accepting yourself can cause to gain interests you normally would have ignored and drop interests you had.

I've never had a lot of masculine interests or a strong male persona, so I guess it's not unusual I didn't abandon any of my interests. But I have a wider interest in genres of novels and media for example.

But it's just gender stereotypes, I don't think anything needs to change unless those interests were just for show.

I used to invest myself into things that never really brought me any happiness but were distractions.  Bodybuilding, guns, model cars and airplanes.  I tried to find myself in things.  Now my "hobbies" tend to be closer to me, more about me and less about escaping me.

I've become more of a neat freak. I was messy before but now I have a tendency to sweep and dust regularly lol
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Can a guy chime in?
Oddly enough, I have a new found interest in fashion and am obsessed with interior decorating. Couldn't have cared less as a girl.

I used to fly model aircraft.  Post op I've never had any interest in that, but still love aircraft and flying in general.  Strangely I took up beer making and at one point joined a a beer club  ::)  I'm also into coffee roasting, have taken up building computers and taught myself computer programming.  Go figure!  Oh yeah, now I'm into nail art  ;D

Not really changed, I mean i am still into things i used to be and still hate stuff like sport, clubs and pointless drinking. The only thing HRT did was fix my thought patterns in a sense.

Haha i remember when i first joined this site 2 years back and we had a few threads like this one, i always used to think they changed then it simply occured to me it was a mental occurance that made me believe they must change XD needless to say it was in a sense just early jiters to the whole experience and you really shouldnt have your interests change simply because of a hormonal change.

And if they did well then whos to say it doesnt happen we all are effected differently.
Awww no my little kitten gif site is gone :( sad.
