I love Adelaide's extremely hot dry days, when the slightest breeze cuts you in two like a knife, and the ground is so hot you can cook on it  ;D

Only a cool 31C here in Brisbane today.

not so bad for us in Sydney, only about 30C but a nice cool sea breeze blowing now ;D

Cindy, you could leave the fridge open, that might cool things down.
So long and thanks for all the fish

You can tell it's hot when the birds don't fly. Everything just seeks shelter.

And it's a balmy - 12C here.
Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.

Be positive in the fact that there is always one person in a worse situation then you.

Hottest day ever recorded in Hobart in Tasmania  41.5*C  (107* F), but fortunately I am in Launceston where it only reached 34* C!

Lots of fires in various parts of the state, but not near here.  A/C and drinks order of the day. :)

Karen and Andrea. Branding Irons not allowed on Total Fire Ban days.

Seems the Tassie fire started from hot sex with Karen and Andrea, the Adelaide fire is just igniting?

A most unseasonal 9 degrees in Blackpool

I remember so well sitting on the beach at Blackpool in 2009 on Christmas Eve. It was so cold, but  I had to sit on the beach at Blackpool.
We'd turn the sand to glass today.

I did a quick drive by the beach at Glenelg, the only people were pale skinned tourists. Today, your skin will peel in 5 mins. Some burn cases tomorrow.

What could have possessed you to go to Blackpool beach any time?

I went to Blackpool once in I think 1980, for a 5 day political conference. Needless to say, it wasn't exactly high season, May I seem to recall. I kept thinking, at any time, a bunch of psychopaths dressed as Clowns were going to come and drag us all away.

Very creepy.
