After an insane realization of the realism of my situation, I got a bit scared, but I'm back, dysphoric as ever :P Drafted and received my HRT letter last Wednesday, already emailed a few endocrinologists and found an LGBT specific clinic at U of I, about an hour away! Hoping to have my first appointment by my birthday in early February, and I think that's very doable!

Since I first started thinking about HRT, years ago, I've wanted to take a picture a day and make a time-lapse video, so at the end of 2013 you'll have that to look forward to!

Awesome news.  And yes pictures are good, but maybe twice a month would be just as good.

Time-lapses are pretty difficult to make, and rare to come by. People tend to forget, or they don't feel it's worth the effort any more.

If you can do it, it would be very impressive to watch. Also, congratulations. :D

My therapist said she'll probably write me a letter around my birthday near the end of this month, so I'm hoping to start HRT in February too!   ;D

So excited!

Well done, Olive!

Go for 1 picture per day.  I just love those timelapse videos.

Congrats to Olive and kokochan.

I have the day time and location of when I took my first pill engraved on my heart.

Location? It was in my car right outside of the pharmacist shop where I got my script filled. The time? About 30 seconds after I received the pills

That's great Olive! I knew these things usually work themselves out, I went through the same thing but it only gets better!

Time-lapse video is an awesome idea, hope you do make one  ;D

Gon' add my two cents here - just took my first spiro + estradiol today. :D
I've been giddy for hours.

Olive, kokochan - good luck, have fun. :)
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Congrats Olive! I just started too (Jan 2nd), and am also doing the photo-a-day time lapse. It'll be fun to see each others a year from now  8)

I will say this...

On HRT for about 10 months...I noticed a more fem face about 6months in, and lately I've had several people tell me I look younger and much happier...in hindsight it would've been cool to see the changes, but I didn't want to set my sights too high for such things...go for the gold, girls!
